That's awesome.
My first thumb drive was 256MB and cost about the same.
Are PNY drives something you can rely on? It's a lot of data to lose if they fail?
mine died on me after very little use :(
It's actually showing up as $59.99 USD right now, which makes it a slightly better deal, although it was at it's cheapest ever just last month.
Ignore the front-page reviews with their performance benchmarks as those are outdated (as are most of the 5-star reviews); prior to PNY's cost-cutting measures, these USB drives actually did offer very good performance and reliability but now it's a crap-shoot as to whether you'll get a dud or something that lasts for more than a few weeks. The NAND used in these has been changed more than once, so there are effectively 3 or 4 different versions of this product floating around, hence it's difficult to compare apples to apples.
I think the extra $5 covers delivery to Aus.
My US$44.80 back-ordered White ones arrived today via free DHL Express, only had to wait six weeks.
