Can this be used with Apple tv3.. Lol
waited an eternity for a deal on this, cheers op
Will OW Price-Match if their stock is K400R? Slim chance?
I think Officeworks have cleared out there stock, as these were recently $20 in several stores.
That's only the one store though, I've checked other stores and they're still selling for $39.
Intredasting - the lass in store told me, to her knowledge, it was a clearance item. May have only been for SE QLD though?
Highly recommended piece of kit, very good build quality.
This keyboard changed my outlook on life
Perfect couch keyboard. Happy with mine, bought it for like $50 years ago.
Battery change required like once a year, if that.
ps: this keyboard doesn't work well with the shield tv (trackpad doesn't track well for some reason)
What one are you using?
for keyboard: microsoft wedge mobile keyboard I got for $1 though a cashback deal here
mouse: logitech v470 when I have to.Anything bluetooth should be ok.
You mostly don't need one though (sometimes a game might need mouse input for something)
I used the k400r with a windows htpc with no probs tho.
The wireless frequency has interferance with USB 3.0 ports. Quick fix would be to use an ordinary USB 2.0 1m extension cable.
Had this keyboard. Horrible touch pad. Ender up throwing out. Now sure if this is a newer model and better but suggest trying in store or keeping option of returning within a few days. Shame it's not better because it's a great concept.
Someone please give some more insight on this. I am thinking of getting it for the touch pad.
I have one. The touch pad is shit.
I wouldn't call it horrible, it's not the best, but certainly usable on a day-to-day basis for a HTPC, and for a $20 wireless keyboard how can you complain?
Yeah, I'm guessing their only other touchpad is on a thousand dollar macbook or something.
This touchpad is perfectly fine for HTPC etc, the stuff you'd actually use a $20 couch keyboard for.
No one's recommending it for digital art or competitive FPS play or anything…
We use this for a media PC great on the couch. battery lasts forever
Got the newer model. Works well with the Alienware Alpha.
No way just purchased the 400r last week from ow with a price match from jb hifi and yes it was hard work they said had to be in stock local etc.
In the end the gave in and price matched jb who had the 400r on sale for 31$
So ow with 5% off ended up around $29.
I'm after it as was to,d by a few was good for the media player minix and a certain app and that a few said they did not like the 400 as much as the 400r due to change of key sizes etc.
I said to myself I bet this or even the 400 keyboard will be on offer as soon as I buy one and here you go.
Maybe others will know the difference of the 400 and 409r but I'm sure most preferred the 409r model.
Wonder if worth getting this also, what else can these be used for besides the media player I plan on using it with?Saying that after reading about these again am I right in saying the 400r is a newer model I thought it was other way round
i think you're confusing the models. there is:
1) K400 (original model)
2) K400R (slightly revised version with programmable hotkeys and windows 8+ gesture support)
3) K400 Plus (substantially revised, with smaller arrow keys and multimedia keys above the trackpad, and a yellow detail)i think you are talking about the K400 Plus (version 3), which is different from the K400 (version 1) in this deal.
Lol must have been people comparing the plus and r version so this 400 is the oldest model not so great a deal
can anyone suggest a good keyboard trackpad combo??? I have a Hisence tv running Andriod and they remote/mouse wand is shite.
sold out in swanston street, melb :(
Few differences - I have both
K400 works with Android, K400R works with only some versions / hardware Android
K400 function keys work as primary function, K400R requires you to hold down a modifier key (unless you can run Setpoint in Windows to reconfigure)K400R touch pad supports pinch to zoom and two finger right click (perhaps only in Win8)
K400R has some weird stuff going on with UEFI BIOS … very hard to get function keys to pickup and seems to impact touchpad / using mouseI would pick the K400 if Linux / Android etc, not such an issue if Windows
Oh and very average keyboard, keys too small with poor feedback for touch typing. Perfect for HTPC or temp keyboard, not much else
Cheers
Nothing left at Albert St Brisbane. Girl started to do another store lookup but then took a phone call…… Great service EB!
Hoping for
1 That the EB I'm coincidentally going to today has this in stock
2 That it works with my Chromebook1 Had none in stock, there's like 2 stores in Vic that do.
2 It works great with the Chromebook.
3 Because I price matched with JB who had plenty of stock.
Good price for a decent keyboard, I've used it on the PS3 to make typing messages/character names easier
Ditto, and with PS4 works a treat! So light and I haven't changed the battery in over a year
Just got one price matched office works $21.85
But k400R
Better or worstapparently worse… from what i googled..
that's sad…
should have googled at time of purchase.Where did you read it was worse the 400r I got the 400r as it was better than 400 on what I found on forums
None left at Richmond Victoria gardens
Maybe try price match at officeworks?
Office works only sells the 400R now.
I got the 400r before this deal started from office works who matched jb hifi who had there 400r on sale, but paid 29$
I read it's better than 400 what makes the 400r worse?
Or maybe depends on what your using it for mine will be for media box and has been recommended by others.maybe I should return mine to officeworks and buy again for less.
How come they price matched as its a 400 on offer here not a 400r?
Dam that's cheap
