    Nice offer assuming these are new and not second hand?

    This $1 adapter should turn it into a USB keyboard - so I guess it could be handy for people to keep one for their laptop. Shame it's only in Sydney.

      Those adapters don't contain any electronics (i.e. are adapters, not converters) & consequently will generally only work if the PS/2 device has the built-in electronics to understand the USB signal (which I presume these keyboards wont have). They were often supplied with quite a few models of the Microsoft Mice, for example (which had circuitry for both standards).

        However you can get more expensive adapters that do convert PS/2 to USB. I have a $5 one that takes keyboard and mouse and goes into a USB slot. Especially good for USB only notebooks if you have an old PS/2 KVM switch.

        I'm using the very same adaptor on an IBM Model M Keyboard that was made in 1990 and the Keyboard works fine on USB. Some how I doubt this keyboard would have know about USB, since USB 1.0 was only standardised in 1996 and the Model M design dates back to 1984.

    i went thru their crap looking for something to buy so i don't waste my time picking up a ps2 kbd and this is one of the most expensive shops in sydney if not the universe!

      they are not asking u to buy anything from their store, they just want to clean up their old stock. whats wrong with you? they don't charge you a cent for pick up the item. why are u still complaining? it is not bargain for you, but bargain with other people.
      please use your common sense a bit. don't just complaining on every single thing.

    +1 for the freebie but the KB is definitely for emergency use only.

    Bought one of these and the rubber membrane beneath the keys is crap, they'll start sticking and not registering after light use.

      No it is valid until midnight tonight.
      It will appear as $9 in the shopping cart but once you apply the coupon code on the payment page and click continue, the next page will show $0

      Shipping to brisbane is calculated at 14.65, so probably not worth it unless you're purchasing something else with it! :)
