  • Where's the bargain

    • +7

      Crap movie but a recent popular and well rated movie in 4k for free is great even just to see that res

    Worst terminator movie

    • +11

      Obviously you missed T3

      • +9

        Why the negs? He's right.

        T2 > T1 > T5 > T4 > T3

        • Eh.

          I'd go with.

          T1 = T2

          T3 = T4 = T5

        • @tantryl:

          T2 is better then T1 and T5 is better then T4 .. T3 is the worst of the lot.

          IMDB backs me up

        • @vid_ghost: Oh, well, if IMDB and vid_ghost says so I'll definitely change my opinion on that.

          EDIT I looked up IMDB. Seems to track pretty well with what I said. T1 and T2 highly rated (8.1 and 8.5). T3, T4 & T5 lowly rated (6.4, 6.7 & 6.7). Keep in mind Phantom Menace gets a 6.5 so that's pretty low.

      • +6

        I didn't think T3's sh*ttiness could could be topped either until I saw Tyrminator Genysis. It's actually a pretty impressive feat now that I think of it.

      • T3 > Salvation. At least it has a sense of fun and some good stunts. Points for a great ending also.

    used Eagleget with Waterfox to get this link its only 8gb so its same size as a 720p Bluray rip so it is MAJORLY compressed

    DOWNLOAD LINK 4K 8GB (right click to save file)

    Download link 1GB (right click to save file)

    • +3

      You do know those links don't work outside of your session right?

      • +1

        sorry i had no idea
        just download netvideohunter addon with firefox to get the link

        • +14

          never has there been a more fitting nick

          well done

    • The relative size compared to a Bluray rip means nothing at all as it's a different codec.

      • +1

        8gb for 4K is a joke regardless
        YouTube 4K is rubbish also

  • Just to think, I picked up a 42" 4K for $279 two days ago, WOOHOO!

    • Where from?

    • +1

      quality of that television must be amazing….. not! haha

      • Really? Weird… says on the box 'Onix' and was bought from Target.

        • +6

          @Makoto:

          I think it's bloody brilliant considering what I paid for it (all things considered).

        • -7

          @kronicmacstigator: without HDCP 2.2 it will be useless for 4k but good for you, if you're happy with a very poor quality TV then thats great. I'm glad you think its a bargain.

          for everyone else its an extremely poor quality television which will have problems playing 4k media in the future

        • +14

          @Makoto:
          Why are you trashing his purchase? He is happy leave him alone.

        • +3

          @Makoto:

          Try finding a normal 1920x TV in 42" for that price brand new! Next to impossible!

          Believe me, I know it's not the best TV available but I didn't want to pay twice the price and more for something else. All it's going to be used for is TV and blu-ray.

          Thought this was 'Ozbargain'…

          Worry less about the stats and more about the enjoyment. It will save you money and will probably make you less of an asshole.

        • -7

          @Expon: is my 68cm CRT a great television now ? no it isnt, why? because 20 years ago it might of been good, but the picture quality is very poor compared to decent tvs

          no point telling everyone how great something is if it is garbage….. dont fool people into buying something that is worthless

        • +8

          @Makoto:
          FFS Makoto, you have something to say about this TV? Then go to the deal related to it! This one is about a 4K version of a divisive movie. Want to talk about how bad the movie is? That's perfectly fine, but don't come with your negativity and apply it on a totally unrelated subject.

          The movie is 4K, he got a cheap 4K TV, awesome!

          On the other hand, maybe you can tell us about your choices in life so we can critisize them. The car you drive? Most possibly an overpriced crap which does the same thing as my cheap one, drive me from one place to another (without the overpriced bells and whistles).

          Please don't come here telling everyone what is right or wrong in terms of tastes and priorities.

          BTW, I thought the movie was ok for a lazy Sunday, and at least it didn't have a "Talk to the hand". If you don't know how crappier T3 could have been, look for Arnold's army deleted scene on YouTube.

          @Nachotroncoso: This? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dpdSpbU1NI
          I always wondered if Arnie could pull off another accent… now I know for sure.

        • @marquise:
          Yup. Full scene here:

    • Watch any other movie.

      Or a blank screen.

    Bring up the console/network inspector in your browser and you can find the URL to download (there's a unique session ID).

    Definitely not particularly great 4K quality given the bitrate and codec (it's 1/3rd the size of the Blu, I'm guestimating <=10Mbps, and standard H.264 rather than H.265/HEVC), but hey, free lacklustre Terminator movie!

    • +3

      It's still 10x better than a YIFY rip.

      • Well that goes without saying :)

        • So is it around 720p? Might be a novice question but how can you measure the bitrate and codec of in-browser videos online?

      • +10

        But all YIFY rips are a:10 v:10 thx yify

  • +3

    Still better than Grown Ups 2

    • +1

      Also better than getting punched in the face.

      Actually..

      • +1

        Less brain cells lost when getting punched in the face.

  • Cool thanks, just clicked link and it came up in like 10 seconds so I am now watching :)

    • .. nevermind …

      • I'm using IE on Win7 :)

  • How do they avoid copyright? No sign up and watching a latest release without paying anything.

  • +2

    Terminator Genysys was good fun. Jai Courtney sucked though (as usual) but I liked it a lot. I like all of them though. Just because it is ”the worst one", doesn't make it bad. And T3 is definitely the worst but there are things I liked about that one as well.

  • +2

    This one is for the fans.

    Thanks OP and thelastnoob. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie at the cinema. I enjoyed T3 too. If you're an old time fan of T1 and T2 and watched them repeatedly in your youth, give this movie a go, you won't regret it.

    • Big fan of t1 and 2 but that is it.

      James Cameron nailed judgement day and there is non that can top it.

  • It's not a bad movie, I enjoyed it for a sit down, relax, don't have to think much action movie. Although, it does tickle your brain about its time travel parts. 6.7/10 on IMDB is about right, probably more 6-6.5/10.

  • Is this real 4k?

    • +1

      Yep definitely full res I checked the file properties in VLC. Impressive quality too. Unlike the 720p version which was terrible.

    • Real 4k but the bitrate is horribly low. 1080 on bluray still looks better

  • Why do they add black bars on the top and bottom, rather than letting peoples media player render them when needed? Was excited about some content to watch on my 34" ultra wide but get black bars top, bottom, left and right. So frustrating.

  • +1

    Thanks OP - Meh movie, but to be just 2 clicks and 5 seconds from a loading, legal high quality recent movie is a great thing!

  • -2

    The 4K file is 8GB, more than enough for a 2 hour 4K movie.

    • 1080? Yeah… maybe, but 4k no way in hell.

      • -1

        Yea 4K should be 100GB+ only 8GB which is 1080p

        • 100GB is a bit much for a 4k movie. Closer to 50GB (which would typically be a 1:1 rip) with the sweet spot being around 28 to 36GB.

  • Is it possible to watch this directly on my Samsung Smart TV?

  • Just watched it on my iPad. Extra 10 secs in the credits.

    Thanks OP

  • Looks like they've removed the full version of the film and replaced it with the trailer.

  • It wasn't too bad.

    But I recommend getting the 4K version. I downloaded the 1080p version and the compression artefacts get extremely blocky in some sections, you'd wonder what the hell they were doing. This stuff shouldn't be done by amateurs.
