      Woops :)

  • Is the $287 price after the CXMASTECH code or before? It's showing $359 on the eBay link.

Also, how does the 3 % cashback cashrewards work? Do you have to create an account on their site? I have never used it before so I am kinda confused of how it works.

    • It's after the code, the phone is normally $399, never used cash rewards so you'd better read the site https://www.cashrewards.com.au/

Thanks for the reply, TRENT86. I've checked the cashrewards site, plus have quickly read couple of Whirlpool threads so I won't bother going through them to buy stuff.

I wonder why? I have been using cashrewards for quite some time and have been regularly getting payments.

@bob19: Nothing serious. It's just that I can't be bothered with all that "You have to make the purchase through our site, you have to disable your Adblock and can't check Google during the purchase blah blah". Also, I've read couple of people on WP saying that it takes up to 90 days to get your cashback into your account and even in some cases they don't even pay you at all because "you've broken such and such a condition" or something like that. It aint worth all the time and hassle imo. If it works for others then good for them; I don't mind to pay the extra 3% headache-free.

In short, I am lazy and don't want go through all that trouble to just save 3% of something that costs maximum $300 bucks. If I were to buy a product that costs a grand or above then I might have taken the trouble (as long as I was 100 % sure they wouldn't track my CC history). Or maybe I am just paranoid; don't know.

          @AussieDaddy:

Or maybe I am just paranoid; don't know.

          Maybe just a little :)

In all seriousness, I've used CashRewards for a while now and personally I don't find it to be as tedious as it might sounds.

With the number of participating retailers, it's doesn't take much for small amounts here and there to add up.

        • @AussieDaddy:
I use Adblock and occasionally check Google during purchase and it did not prevent me from getting cashback. To pay back to you they don't need CC details as they can transfer the money to you bank account. Similar, they don't get your CC details when you make purchases via PayPal.
Some purchases may take up to 90 days to process but majority takes significantly less than that.
And an important thing is that you have nothing to lose but can only gain.

        • @bob19: Thank you and GreenGuava for the 411, guys. Will keep that in mind in the future.

  • Any one now how these perform in the rain? I ask because from time to time I have been caught in the rain on the motorbike and wasn't able to use my current phone when the screen got rain drops on it. Gloves prolly didn't help either :-)

Is this a good option for a decent cheap soundbar? I got the Phillips cashback one posted here some months back and its hopelesd. Dialogue sounds…well its hard to explain, like everyone is a cheesey sci fi robot. There is sort of a bassy echo coming through the sub.

  • Any one has this phone? I am wondering how it performs on the Optus network (Vaya)? And the GPS performance? I'm thinking of replacing my wife's S4 mini with this one. :)

    Many thanks.

    • Just buy a Xperia Z1/Z2. They are older but much faster and better than these low cost new phones from Sony. Z series receives updates to latest Android, no telling about these low cost phones and their performance is solid.
