Astor FM/DAB+ Digital Radio $19 @ Target [Burwood, NSW)

160

Original price was $69 with the price sticker still on the box.
Picked up 3 units from Burwood, NSW today. Plenty more on the shelf. As it is on clearance you will need to try your luck at other branches.
Great sound quality (especially for a single mono speaker) and easy to program.
Recently delved into digital radio and love it for the 80s and Classic Rock stations that play continuous high quality ad and talk free music.
Pro tip: You can use the headphone out jack to plug into an external amp or speakers for a more powerful and louder listening experience.
Also runs off 4 AA batteries if you wish to use it as a portable.
The next model 'up' was reduced to $29 and was a little bigger and had stereo speakers but kinda ugly looking, portable on C batteries only, and the plastic knobs on the display model felt cheap and appeared like they are prone to falling off so I didn't buy it.

Good brand and great retro look at a bargain price.

    • How is "Target Astor" a good brand?

      • Compared to the step up model for $29 which was a "Bush" this seems like good quality for a generic. Not sure about brand recognition though.

  • Hope there is one still available when I visit on Monday. I love radio and have missed all good DAB deals in the past.

If that's the case you will love the MORE 80s and 90s channel, and it has no ads.

I just picked one up from Target Bankstown, NSW. There were still 6 more units left. Oddly, it wasn't advertised with a red ticket at $19, but it still scanned at $19.

The sound quality is great. That's my Australia Day listening to the J's sorted.

  • All gone in burwood NSW

    • Did you manage to get one?

      • Sadly not. All good though, another DAB deal should come soon I hope :)
