CONNEXIA 8 Way Surge Protected Power Board $11.47 Delivered @ COTD

92
HERALD29

With the combined Visa Checkout and HERALD29 code, you can get this 8 socket individually switchable powerboard for $11.47 delivered. The USB charging and surge protection are bonuses. Club catch not required.

Item is $29.99, add another cheap item to make it above $30, for example this leather collar for $1.49.
On COTD homepage, type * on the search box to bring up all items, then sort them Price Low to High. There's plenty there for cheap: screen protectors and cases, 5x hosiery/tights, various pet accessories and combs.

Shipping to QLD for me is $9.99
$31.48 - 30 plus $9.99 shipping is $11.47

This is a pretty good price for the board. I have not seen it lower.
Thanks to the Visa Checkout $20 off $30 Deal and unity1 for the Herald code

If you're making a new account on COTD to buy this, if you use a referral code both of us will get $10 after the first purchase. Cheers

  • It is $20 off $30 deal so discount is only $20, not $30. Should it cost $21.47 shipped? Ops… sorry, not catching the herald code.

Don't get this powerboard. The last one I had blew up on me after using it less than a month. Stay clear away from this.

Ordered board last time it was on sale. Lasted about 2 months until the USB ports died.

It also doubles as a night light delivering 9 levels of flickering blue/orange light to whichever room it is placed in.

There are similar reports in the other deals posted. It was easy to get a refund from cotd though.

      • Thanks guys.. Ordered and then cancelled..

I have three of these powerboard, two of them are over 4 years old and no problems so far

      same as mine one

  • oh well, OP gets $10 credit from me :) Couldnt figure out why the coupon doesnt seem to be working

I bought one of these last year. Was faulty out of the box. They just refunded me and I binned it

  • Junk brand and judging by my last one which I pulled apart to see the internals, it's also a fire hazard. Do not touch.

Having said that, most powerboards are probably cheap on the inside and therefore dangerous regardless of brand.

    • Never understood why most power boards cost so much anyway.

There's nothing to them, few strips of metal inside a plastic casing, maybe some cheap surge protection..
Even when they include cheap USB ports doesn't justify the price they normally ask.

      You can recommend alternative?

  • I ordered 3 of these a few months ago. I will try to email COD when I got time. I wonder whether I can swap them with new ones without any charges. All mine 3 power boards the USB ports died just after about one month use. 1 power board I used the USB ports just about 4-5 times… :(

Lol the time it took u to post this would be the same as emailing them

These power boards are really low quality. I've got two of them and some sockets stopped working (or work intermittently) after about 2 months.
    Waste of money.

  • And, the code does not stack anymore so this deal is expired. Shame about that because a cheap one of these power cubes https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/best-of-tech-xmas-edition-50267/product/allocacoc-4-outlet-1-5m-extended-powercube-w-usb-332396/ would have been nice - I have this same one.

  • The USB Port died after only "1" day! How can I return to COTD?????

  • I've had a similar version in black which has last a few years at least. Maybe the white version is dodgey?
