  • Seems like a good deal. I have never bought a Kogan TV and was wondering if there are any reviews available for this model? Looking to recommend one to the parents

    • +1

I have a friend who bought Kogan TV before. It broke down after few days, so the TV was sent back (with the original packaging) to be fixed. Waited some time for the TV to be fixed/replaced and delivered back, broke down again after few weeks. Now my friend has a broken TV in his living room. Can't be bothered to send it back/deal with Kogan again.

Would I pay more to get a TV from a dealer with better product/return policy/closer location? Absolutely.

      • Can't be bothered to send it back/deal with Kogan again.

Kogan wins - business model vindicated.
Soon, you'll forget your current bad experience and will spend more money on them because they'll be offering you another irresistibly great deal and you'll be willing to give them another try, and the cycle will repeat.

      • thanks… my gut feeling was to pass.

        • My friend's experience is just an anecdote. Plenty of people are lucky enough to have good experience with Kogan TV. The main factor that made my friend's experience terrible is having to deliver the TV back to Kogan every single time. If he's staying in the same state as Kogan, maybe after 2nd fix, the TV would function great.

  • AFAIK, Kogan TVs are reliable for the price you pay. I'm using a 55" SMART 3D TV for more than 2 yrs now and it works absolutely fine and even the Tech Support and warranty parts replacement is also very good. TV sound is not so great but its OK for the money we pay.

  • We've had a 32" model for a few years and it has been fine for the money. The speakers are tinny so we use something else for that, but for the kids play room it was cheap and is really thin as well. I'd happily grab a 55" one and stick it on the wall for that same kind of use and money, but that's probably overkill for what we need.
