I was in the market for an Android Wear watch and saw bez-54's post (25% wearable from Telstra) the other day. However, there was only Samsung Gear S2 (Tizen powered) available. This morning, I found LG Urbane for $336 was listed on the page and was tagged as "new", but there was no "Buy now" button on the page. So I called Telstra to ask how to order it and the operator told me he can't see the watch on the page. When I refresh the page, the LG watch is disappeared. The operator suggested me to call local stores to check for the stock and price, so I did. The staff in Telstra Store in Melbourne CBD confirmed they have plenty in stock and the price is $336, I got my one during the lunch break.
When I got back to the office, I managed to find the link to the watch and the "Buy now" button appeared after I refreshed the page a few times. DWI is selling this watch for $329, but considers it is local stock and comes with 2 years local warranty, it is worth paying $7 more.
I've got my broadband and phone with Telstra for a few years now. Anyone ever get a better deal from them for being a regular customer?
Fat chance most likely.
