Hard to take your post seriously when you say enjoy the DRM and type Need for Ice.

    • What is Denuvo DRM / bad about it?

Why the heck is there DRM when its on Origin anyway?

      • +1

I played and finished DA Inquisition on Origin, there was no issue at all with their DRM.

  • +3

Dragon age inquisition so cheap! ($7.49 USD)

    • Where? Would like to get it at that price.

      • +3

        MX store

        • Thanks for the heads up. Been waiting on a price drop and $10ish (AUD) will do it.

        • hey could you give a link?

        • +1

@yoderykyo: use a vpn. go to origin and locate it to mexico

        • @clarenix0813: Damn I have never figured out how to use VPN for anything :(

    • Thanks for that. I VPN'ed in via Mexico and bought a copy for $7.49!

Sure decoding the spanish was a little fun but just logged into my Origin account without VPN and DA:O is there! :)

      • Any cheap/free vpn that can be trusted with payment details?

I find I want a vpn to buy something about 4 times a year. Hence I don't have a paid service.

  • +6

Need for ice? Drug lord game?

    • Lol!
On serious note, good effort from op.

  • NFS: The Run is cheap, shame the controller support is borked.

    • I just played it last night… No compatibility for a H shifter :(

      • I can't even get a standard gamepad to work, it recognises one is connected, but the buttons don't do anything

  • +6

The Saboteur is a nice open world game. Well worth the money.

    • Is it repetitive? That's the impression I got from a few spoiler free reviews.

      • +2

No more than most open world games. Being set in 1940s France is enough to make it a worthwhile purchase. And even if you only get 2 hours out of it that is damn good value.

  • Cheers

I wish they had Bioware Points on sale as well. There are some add-on items and expansion packs that can only be purchased by using points. In same cases those add-ons are more expensive than the game itself.

    • +1

I check them every N7 Day and every time Origin has a sale, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. For Mass Effect 3, the DLC costs five times more than the actual base game does on sale.

    • Yeah good luck with that… They reduce the price of the game to get you in, and then bend you over with the DLC pricing. It's kinda like stores like Big W or Kmart having a huge bargain as a 'loss leader' to get you into the store to buy more items that are more profitable for them, only worse.

  • +2

I thought it was origin energy… and was about to say their discount only apply to actual usage and not to daily service charge which is not much point. Anyway, I just said it still, lol

    • I was too thought it was Origin Energy and I was about to comment on it and I saw your post. I jumped when I saw the deal title. LOL

  • +1

All Dragon Age Inquisition DLC is also on sale for 33% off for anyone who already has the game (expansions are $16.66, down from $24.99).

    • +1

The Trespasser DLC was excellent, I definitely recommend it.

  • +2

    Picked up BF4 premo.

Trying to work out whether ill bother about Mass Effect or not

    • +1

Mass Effect is good. You can get 1+2 on Steam but unfortunately the third one is only available on Origin.

      • Yeah played through the series on Xbox but shifted platform completely in the last few months

        • +1

Ahh the benefits of Steam. No having to change platforms.

  • +1

    Picked up BF4 Premium,
I was going to buy it last time, but someone mentioned the 168 hour trial, I thought that was 168 game time hours, so I didn't buy it, but it was 7 day trial (thanks for confusing me), when that ended the price was back to RRP, I'm so glad I held out as I was so close to buying it anyway

    • You then should still thank the poster who posted the trial. Without that you would have bought earlier.

      • Actually, I was going to buy it from the sale last time!
but nevertheless thanks is warranted as I didn't know how good the game was without trying it.

      • Might have been me. I remwmber making a comment about last time it was put up here

  • +4

Why no star wars those bastards!

    • +5

They already took 50% off the content so a matching price would be nice.

      • -1

Now I know why the weather has been so warm recently, it's because you've been spitting hot fire.

    • +2

9 maps and 12 guns, should be permanently discounted to $15.

      • Yep, but the thing is people are drawn to the allure of living in the star wars world with all of it's original cool things.

      • +1

Just wait 6 months, this game will be the next TitanFall… Free DLC for everyone.

  • Can anyone confirm if Hardline is cheaper via the Mexican Origin store?

    • +3

      si

      • Gracias pero ¿cuánto es?

  • +1

    Awesome BF4 price.

  • Could anyone with a vpn tell me the Crysis 3 base game price from the mexican store?

  • Tomb Raider is totally worth it. One of the best games I've played in recent times.

Thanks for posting that! Would you happen to know the price for Fifa 16?

      EDIT: $24USD = $33AUD

  • Oh Man, I only just paid full price for Battlefield 4 Premium about a month ago :-(

    • contact origin support via live chat. maybe they can work something out for you

    • Same but only 2 weeks ago :(

    • Ok Just contacted Origin Support and had a Live Chat. They have refunded my Purchase so that I can re purchase at the cheaper Price. I have to say that they had awesome support and It was no issue to do this even though I Purchased BF4 Premium a Month ago.

  • Damn for a second I thought this was a deal for Origin Energy.

  • +3

Dragon Age Inquisition $22.50 (enjoy the Denuvo DRM)

Yes, because it makes such a huge impact on gameplay. Just absolutely horrible.

    crickets

But yeah, keep on feeding that year-old circlejerk if it makes you feel better.

    • -2

How does circlejerk apply to their sentence? Circlejerk is mass masturbation, used for people all self congratulating each other. The comment the OP is just pointless and so was your insult.

      • Does that remark not seem condescending / self-aggrandising to you? When DA:I came out, there was a lot of bitching around the internet about the DRM and how terrible the game would be and the usual anti-EA hysteria - i.e. the circlejerk. Now obviously OP has never played the game, because if he had've, he would know the DRM doesn't even factor into a single moment of the experience. It was ignorant, completely informed by the internet hivemind and hence came off as self-congratulatory. So yes, partaking in the circle-jerk, even if it's not actually here. Or masturbatory if you insist on being a real stickler for details.

        • Sounds reasonable when you mention the hysteria from before, I just didn't see any of that here.

    • Not to mention the fact that Denuvo isn't even DRM…

  • Stupid question - are any of these redeemable on steam or are these available through origin only?

    • Only Origin :(

    • I believe Origin only if you buy from the Origin store.

Oddly enough for some EA games, if you buy them on Steam you can redeem the product code on the Origin store (so you end up having them in both systems).

BUT: Only works for some games, so don't count on it. People used to keep lists of the games it worked on…

  • can anyone tell me if BF4 premium requires me to have the base game 1st? or everything is included?

    • Premium Edition had everything, including the game.
Premium, or Premium Membership, is everything but the game.

      It's in the product descriptions.

      • thanks mate! ya I got confused between premium edition and premium membership

btw between BF4 and CSGO, which would you recommend?

        • I'm not really a fan of CS, so if I had to give a recommendation it would be BF4. But it's really completely down to personal preference, they aren't really that similar.

        • @ProspectiveDarkness: Yeah they're fairly different games in my opinion.

BF4 is great for large-scale mayhem (with vehicles!), CS:GO for smaller-scale tense competitive stuff.

The CS:GO playerbase might last for longer since there's no doubt another Battlefield coming down the pipe, that people will eventually migrate to.

BF4 was pretty unstable at launch but it's had tons of updates since then and it's now a really solid, great multiplayer game. Very pretty too. I still have a lot of fun with it although there's far fewer servers than there used to be. Really hoping a few well-populated 64-player servers will remain right up till whatever new BF game replaces it (cos Hardline and Battlefront sure didn't!)

For me it's hard to beat the chaotic glory of 64-player BattleField. I still see utterly crazy couldn't-repeat-it-if-you-tried situations pretty regularly.

  • Is Titanfall good? Looking for a coop multiplay game to play with friends.
