Day One Release (genuine physical boxed stock) for PS3 getting harder to find at many major retailers, best alternative pricing is as per above, this deal being very close to the lowest we could find worldwide (and ours ships in as little as zero days from Sydney). At the other end of the scale, some major Australian retailers such as JB Hifi and Big W are selling nearly double our delivered price!

Wow excellent. Good to see you guys again :)

Will have to give this a miss because I have it on ps4 already. It great deal. Keep up the great work OP!

    • Thanks — great to be back :)

  • +3

Got a bit excited for a moment, then I realised it wasn't for PS4 :(

  • +2

    AU$44 delivered from here

The Day 1 editions all appear to have the same content, same bonuses. Besides the Aus vs UK stock, any other difference OP?

OZgameshop: $47.48 (import UK version only, not Day One Australian Edition)

Use coupon COMPAR3 for 3% off, making it ~$46 delivered

    • DLC is for Australia.

      • +1

DLC from the AUS store works with Europe games, and vice-versa.

        • Oh really? What about for ps4? Is this the case for all UK games? I've seen UK DLC codes for games cheap before

        • @dtnvong: Yes. You just need to make a European account and download.

        • @Venom_TAG: ok thanks! :)

        • Can't you also get us codes working by simply making that the primary account after you have activated it?

      • Not necessarily, read the 2nd part of this:

        http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/?tag=ps3_regional_locking

        DLC (Downloadable Content)
You must download DLC from the same region store as the game. The DLC is specifically coded for its respective region, and will not work for other regions.
For example, the LittleBigPlanet costumes from the Japanese PlayStation Store will not work with local copies of the game. Source

UK PS3 games are usually compatible with AUS PSN Store DLC – but check the BLES codes on your game case against the ones on the PSN Store before you download. Notable exceptions are the UK versions of Uncharted 2 and Modnation Racers which have DLC locked to the UK PSN store.

Sorry wasn't more specific about codes. "You just need to make a European account and download."
Since it is a uk version in the commentators link you dont need to worry about different regions conflicting.

Hi Spackbace :) thank you for asking. I'm not sure of anything off the top of my head, but someone else here on OzBargain is sure to know! I think it's mainly that it's an Aussie one. People tend to pay more for true Australian releases on the second hand market, in our experience, which I know is not new information :) but we've also found that the documentation with Australian D1 releases is often more substantial. For instance Call of Duty Black Ops 2 on Xbox 360 weighs 99 grams packed, and I'm pretty sure I remember the Australian one weighing a fair bit more for the original release. This can be due to skimmed down documentation in foreign markets.

    • Yes, a good price too, noting that they're in England, from first look (I'd not heard of them before). Ours is the Aussie Day One Release which can ship in as little as zero days (from Sydney), for those who like getting an Aussie item super-fast :)

    • tried the ozgameshop code yesterday. doesn't work

      • On a pre-order or in-stock?

    • That code is only for new accounts I'm pretty sure.

    Who still plays PS3 anymore…

    • +12

People who don't have the money for a next gen console
People who feel the PS4 doesn't have a library large enough to justify the purchase (reasonable people)
People who don't want to lose access to the entirety of fantastic, genre-defining exclusives on the PS3
People who don't want to pay for online
People who believe videogame consoles should be used for more than Netflix
People who actually still play same-console multiplayer games (which are, for the most part, oddly absent on PS4 and Xbone)

People who'd rather play a good game than a well-advertised one.

      • +6

People who feel the PS4 doesn't have a library large enough to justify the purchase

Completely correct. Even 2 years after release, there is an underwhelming amount of PS4 exclusive games.

People who don't want to lose access to the entirety of fantastic, genre-defining exclusives on the PS3

        Red Dead Redemption!!!

        • Ba..Na…Na…! (exclusive Villain game)

          I pick the 1st point……. i could only afford every second generation……i got ps1 then ps3…… next one ps5

      I do.

Thanks SOS. Great price for a great game . Thanks again for these great prices

    • Cheers, thanks for dropping by :) I hope we make some OzBargainers happy!

  • +4

Gonna give it a miss again, not worth it on the PS3. I think your deal Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Sony PS4 for $15.88 is still the best which I missed out on (if you have one laying around please let me know). Also, purchased a few of the vita deals, please have more of ps4 and vita deals :)

  • +1

    Thumbs up!

  • Thanks Ozbargain peeps!

If you want more deals, and haven't already, sign up for our newsletter it's easiest to wait 5 seconds for the newsletter popup. Those who already have know that we only get in touch if there's really something to say, or something awesome to offer, in fact we've not even emailed most of you yet! But we ae're working on more content, and more products too, but again, we tend not to get involved unless we have something we can do that's not done by everybody: either hard to get, or on the edge of being lost forever, or so weird that it's endearing. That's our mission :) cheers guys.

Nice price , would be nice to have a deal on PS4.

    • Thanks. We did one for PS4. But then PSN screwed everybody selling the item, and we canned it, so we can all thank them for that… now your only option is digital :( but if people are still interested in a physical copy, what price do you think people would pay for the Day One Australian Edition with bonus content? (just to see if it's worth us doing the deal…)

  • Any chance of a PS4 or XB1 deal?

  • A few more coupon codes released…Exclusive to OzBargain…low stock!
