This is the cheapest this card has ever been, i setup a camel^3 reminder, but unfortunately the aud is at a miserable low at the moment. Still you end up saving since the lowest is MSY at $518 (i don't know if they add shipping to that). Happy shopping Bargainers.

It's ozbargain mate, missed the "bargain" part ?
warranty is part of the bargain. Its a PITA to RMA this stuff to the US.
Anyone that buys tech products from overseas to save this little is a fool. Maybe if it's a 40% saving or something like that, then fair enough.
I'm curious what you guys base your comments on.
When I tried returning a DOA at MSY the day after purchase, the guy shrugged at me and said "Just take it back to the distributor yourself. If you leave it with us we probably won't do anything with it." They couldn't give less of a crap about consumer laws and realistically what can you do, sue them over $400?
Amazon in the same situation would express you a replacement and you send back the faulty unit once it's received. All on their dime.
I know which one I'd choose.
I had a Mobo from MSY go n me a few days after I purchased it, it took them nearly 3 months to refund me
mate, few days id be demanding a replacement.
when you buy a product youre not paying for a RMA procedure right off the bat
@ellave: If it's within a few days, that is DOA and you should get an on the spot replacement. I had faulty RAM which they replaced immediately. Didn't even test it first.
@lostn: Was a couple of years back now
@ellave: So was my RAM.
It's not the cheapest at all.
This is the one I got ($449 AU)… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/170313
With full local warranty and a free copy of FarCry4 chucked in too!Great card, but get it locally.
Hmm.. that was a year ago.
nVidia is taking their time bringing out the next card.
There is also the R9 390 to consider as well at a similar price range, depending if you are playing at 1080, 1440, or 4k resolutions.
The R9 390 supports DX12, does better at 1440p and beyond, has 8gb of VRAM but consumes a lot more power.
I agree. Im about to pickup the R9 390 8GB
Aus stock starting @ $455
yep I am hanging out for a good (sub $400) deal on a 970 or prefer a R9 390, but only 650W PSU might force me to go a 970 :(
Your Australian consumer law warranty rights are probably worth the 6% extra price..
