I received this code from TID after I returned from a recent overseas trip. It says feel free to share with family and friends but does not mention a expiry date.
If your quote is more than $100, you may use this code "TIDXMAS2009" which gives you 10% off.
Just asked NAB for a quote online and it was $457, maybe better for NAB customers or something but certainly not cheaper than TID.
Actually, looked at the deal again. Sorry, I think I may have misinterpreted so $10 off code is TIDTHANKS and %10 off is TIDXMAS? REpublished.
I looked around for annual travel insurance late last year & these guys were the cheapest by far, especially with the discount. Seem to be a good genuine provider, have recommended to others since.
I did my research before my trip and this mob turned out to be the cheapest as well. I've never had to make a claim so can't comment so that.

I've always bought from virgin or webjet. haven't yet found anyone cheaper.
Oh and virgin/webjet charge no insurance excess. this place charges $100.
Just used this, yes, cheapest by far. Their $39 quote became $29! Would vote positive if it wasn't old, and I might add this to the travel wiki. The travel agent wanted $99.
is this travelling within australia? it'd be pretty cheap for an overseas destination. how long for?

It is underwritten by Allianz. I think they underwrite a lot of other travel insurance policies out there, including policies booked through Virgin Blue / NAB.
I booked 1-year multi travel insurance through NAB at about $229 per person.
Going through TID, the quote was $354 pp. The deal wasn't comparable.
