    If only Woolworths did this with their e-gift cards for Christmas :')

  • Tempted to down vote, doubt you'll even get $400 value from the $500 gift card, restaurants and shops are all over priced.

    • Not if you combine with entertainment vouchers

      • Even then, I'm not sure it is.

        Though you'd earn $25 worth of chips spending the $500 at restaurants using your signature card.

      Love the $12.95 steak deal. Also works at Dinner by Hestion and the new Texas BBQ place San Antone.

      You'd only get this if you dine or shop or stay at Crown. This is a deal that you still get $100 off of what you'd normally spend at crown.

    Can u use this on accommodation? Or is it better to go through other means for that?

    • +2

      Can be used for accommodation at crown.

  • anyone know what is the expiry date on this card? is it 12 months?

    Cheers.

  • Offer is subject to availability at time of purchase from 12 November - 24 December, one transaction per purchase only. Offer is valid with the purchase of a $400 gift card denomination, one gift card is issued. Offer is strictly limited and only available via Crown Gifts online. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer via Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth or Crown Gifts

    "one transaction per purchase only", does that mean that you have to spend the whole $500 in one go

      No. Just can only buy the $400 card one at a time on the website if you want the bonus $100 to be applied.

  • Ive used this to pay for accomadation… effective 20 percent off.. and pay for the overpriced neil perry resturant… was worth it.

  • Don't forget that you get 5% effectively back if you show your Crown Signature card when paying with your Gift Card. This works with with all Crown Gift Card accepting places except for the three Neil Perry restaurants (Rosetta, Spice Temple and Rockpool) and I think Gradi.

    For the point of clarification, if you pay via another methid, eg CASH, you will get the 5% back on your Crown Signature card.

    Also please note that another benefit of getting the Gift Card is that you do not get hit by the 1.65% CC fee.

    • Gradi accepts Crown Gift Cards, used one on Wednesday. Also they work at Dinner with Heston.

      • Please note that Gradi does not let you get Signature points if you use a Gift Card. Dinner by Heston is all good for both GC and Signature Points.

        • You need to tell them to apply the points. About a month ago I paid half card half gift card and I went back when I looked at the receipt. They were happy to apply the gift card portion to my points. Also when I went last week I specifically asked them to put the points through. The lady at the counter didn't know how so she called in her manager to do it. Its a small family run place in reality (if you have been to Carlton) and they are now being forced to use one of crowns POS terminals. So lots still don't know how to use it!

        thx for confirming

        • Since when is gambling a deal?

          Unless you are trying to reach higher Signature club levels for free drinks and meals.

          @Lukian:

          It was a question bud!

          @Lukian:

          It is a deal if you can exchange for chips. Buy a card for $400, get $500 of chips, turn it at a table and cash out $500 more or less.

          Easy $100 free cash which is non-taxable =D

        • He's not your bud, dude!
