As you know Toys'R'Us currently have 'Buy one get one 1/2 Price on LEGO'. If you use the PAYPAL 'Buy one get one 1/2 Price' Promo Code then it deducts the highest item and makes them both half price (hence buy one get one free)
Note: It only works on full price items and I found that delivery skyrocketed for a lot of items to Perth
Yeah I did the same, what I really wanted was the AT-AT but I couldn't put 2 in my basket for starters and they weren't in Perth so postage was going to be $40 rather than $9.95.
Happy with some half price $150 sets and $25 advent calendars which have sold out in Kmart and BigW when they were $29 last week.
I saw the this PayPal promo in their email and thought it was a bit deceptive since this promo was already running even if not using PayPal. Good find.
Edit: that's right, the standard promo was Lego only, didn't remember that. The one I reflected on earlier was the bonds promo which sounds the same as the standard promo… But maybe I need to check if I can get double discount or something.

Worked for me the first time, then I tried it again (I can't believe i forgot the Kwik-e-Mart - DOH!!) and it only makes one 50% off. Maybe it was a mistake/glitch and it's been changed.

If you tried the code on Simpsons Lego, it wont work as it only halves two items in a cart when the items are in the 'buy one get one half price' deal. Mind you, even with only one 50% off, both Lego Simpson house and Kwik Mart came down to $255 ea delivered to Perth for me, which is pretty decent.
The promo is much better than buy one get one free. This implies the cheaper item is free. This is literally half price of entire order.
For example, you put two items in cart for $170 and $10. The second item goes to $5. You then input PayPal code and the first item is now additionally $85. I was gonna buy one of the big star wars ships (and a $5 item for discount) for Christmas, but looks like the best items are sold out.
Also note that I could not see any promo code box in checkout until I created an account.
Since there was talk of high shipping costs i should mention that it came to $10 shipping to Brisbane.

Don't know if they changed how it works but for me, it's just half price of everything. The cheapest items that got half priced before the paypal code did not get 50% discount again. All my items have the same price, before and after discount, +$10 shipping to Melbourne. Only City items.
Both sets I wanted the Millennium Falcon and the AT-AT are sold out/unavailable :(

OK - I figured out why it wasn't working the second time I tried to order. The double 50% will only work on: Friends, Juniors, Star Wars, Elves, Ninjago, Duplo City, and Superheroes, because they're the only ones eligible for the first 50% off (without the Paypal code). The Simpsons sets aren't eligible for the first discount, therefore the double 50% won't work on them. (My first order was Friends and Duplo and it went through with the double discount, second order was Simpsons and it didn't work).

For some items the postage can be quite expensive, mix and match to check it out. Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle + Poe's X-Wing for example had $46 delivery to Melbourne whereas Poe's X-Wing + First Order Stormtrooper Shuttle was $10 delivery.

As some mentioned above by some, this code also let Lego Simpsons house and Lego Simpsons Kwik E Mart become buy one get another one 50% off. Which for me , its $255 ea inc delivery within Perth. Pretty decent I believe if you could afford to buy both. Delivery cost might differ between diff state, so yours might end up slightly cheaper or slightly more expensive.

I just added the Lego City Fire Station ($129.99) and the Lego City Demolition Site ($99.99) to my cart.
Postage was $11.00 to Melbourne.
Applied the promo code and the prices updated to $65.00 and $50 respectively, however shipping jumped to $30.00.
$145 delivered for what was $229 worth of product is still not that bad.
Now to decide whether to actually go ahead with my purchase.
However, I get the feeling as soon as someone comes into the Toys R Us office this morning, the code will be cancelled and someone might be fired.

As noted, be careful on the shipping - I put 4 items in my cart and it stated $9.99 shipping to Melbourne. So I went ahead with the purchase, but by the time it hit Paypal, it changed to $29 shipping!
So Paypal has two values in my invoice $152.99 (which is what I thought I was paying) and $172, which is what I was charged!

Thanks worked for me - Tie Fighter special forces went from $100 to $50 in cart and the AT-DP went from $80 to $40. Shipping "halved" from $22 to $12. This is to Sydney

I didn't have anything that was on sale or had online deal. However, I tried some other products and it is working again. One of the city items (not listed as online deal or on sale) must be incorrectly excluded.
EDIT: No its not working. Originally, you'd get the cheapest item 1/2 price WITHOUT the PAYPAL code. Then when you enter the PAYPAL code the other item also got 1/2 price. Now the item remains at full price as if the code wasn't entered. So they have "Fixed" the way the discount was applying since this morning.

Showing the correct price for me now. I have 2 x Kwik-e-Mart in my cart, and after using the code, one of them is full price and the other is halved. Shipping means you dont even get the full 25% discount

That shipping calculator is a joke, and load time on add to cart is ridiculous. Surprised a large organisation like this has such a terrible website. May be the Ozb effect, but I dont think so.
TRU ships items from stores not from a central warehouse, so depending on your order items can come from multiple locations all over the country, they jack up the shipping when this happens.

Got mine today. After I took off their dumb security sticker (ripping one of the boxes a little) I realised that they sent me the wrong set! So I've paid for postage and now have to go into to store to sort out their stuff up.
that sucks, I have that security sticker on the 2 expensive sets. I guess for half price I can live with it.
You can try 4 or other even numbers of sets to save delivery fee as long as they are pairs of each set (or just pairs of same price items?)
e.g. I bought 6 sets, (two copies x three different sets each), pay half price of each set plus delivery fee.
