The game is not rated very highly but it is free and is good to use to bolsetr the number of games in your account to get Steam badges and XP.

The usual procedure:

Insert e-mail address
Do captcha
Get your key from Indiegala
Redeem the Steam key

If you don't win the Chip Steam game giveaway that appears afterwards:

in that page view source code(ctrl+u in chrome) and search(ctrl+f) for 'redemption code' without quotes. Your key will be next to it.

Worked for me in IE.

Did not post that one as some people will complain it is a competition even though you will always get a key with enough tries or using alternative solutions like the one you suggested. ;-)
