How Do You Store All of Your OzBargained Eneloops?

Like many of you, I have built up an impressive supply of eneloop batteries. How do you store them? Are they organised neatly in a battery storage box or are they loose in a drawer? Do you have a system to sort the charged and uncharged batteries.

I need to be more organised with my eneloops so I am looking forward to seeing peoples suggestions.

  • In a gun safe.

  • I bought a lovely battery storage case for the grand price of $2.50 off eBay and that included delivery.

I bought 2 plastic tubs with lids from Daiso. About 30cm x 15cm x 5cm high. One green and one red. In the red one I store all uncharged batteries and my BC-700 battery charger. In the green box I store all charged batteries, a phillips and flat screwdriver and a multimeter. I have around 60 x AAs and 40 x AAAs so I don't need to charge very often, when the green box is getting low I do a bulk charge of all red-box (i.e. flat) batteries and then move them to the green box.

I like this red and green box idea

    • I have a simpler system. One jar for charged batteries, and put flat ones in my unplugged charger (stores eight). When it gets full, I charge them.

      Who said we use them?

  • Batteries are so old fashioned & obsolete nowadays ————- until ———- the clock needs new ones. Your power company decides to have a day long cut for " routine maintenance work" leaving you with no choice but to pull out your old & trusty old battery operated player so you can still have a radio on. etc. etc. etc.
