Perfect time to get some blurays for Christmas..

  • +1

    nice, been waiting for this

  • Any chance of happy snaps within the catalogue / back page?

  • +1

Are lenses usually included in camera sales?

    • +1

Going on previous sales where they state "cameras" then yes. But if you wait till Thursday the website prices get updated to the discount prices so you'll know soon enough.

      • Ok cool, will hope so :)

  • -2

Can we price match b4 applying 20% off?

    • -1

      wat?

    • Doubt it.

    • +1

price match is always on the final price. if it is still expensive you can ask for that, else why would they match on RRP?

    • +3

Lol! This comment made my day. Try that between 2 stores in a constant loop.. And end up with close to $1 for anything imaginable.

  • FINALLY! Been waiting for this one for a while. Got a few on the list!

  • +1

    Do I get the:

    Sony KDL32W700C 32" or the LG 32 LF6300 LCD?

    Budget is around $500-$600.

    • +1

Best thing to do is look at them side to side … and then you may have an even bigger problem. Personally though, if it were me I would probably go with the LG, but Sony has a pretty good name too. Do they both offer the same warranty or is one better than the other?

  • HELL YEAH!

And they have dropped The Wire set down to 99 as well. Well cheaper than importing now.

    • -1

It's always been cheaper than importing…

      • -3

Not from the EU. You previously could get it from about 80-90 from scandinavia, and I think the european amazons for under 100.

But hey, thanks for educating me with your very informative post. Much appreciated.

  • +4

and obviously piggy back this with the existing DVD/Blu-ray offers:
    TV 2 for $30 https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…
    TV Buy 2 get 1 free https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

    • Those will probably end as this one begins. Happened to the Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion.

      • +2

Click through any item on these links - both offers run through early January

  • Yay!

  • Just in time for The Blacklist season 2 (6 months overdue) and the steelbook releases of Star Wars 1-6!!!!

    • +1

Target has the steelbooks for star wars for $19.00 each

$1.00 cheaper than JB Hi Fi (they are going to be $20.00 after the 20% off)

      • +3

Oh man, thank you! I'll buy my girlfriend a small cheeseburger meal with my savings of $6!

        But really, thank you.

        • Spoken like a true ozbargainer :)

        • Try HJ stunner meal, only $5 !

  • Excludes Nikon D610*
Fuuuuuu!!!!! every time they have these sales it always either excludes Nikon, Excludes FX cameras and now this time it excludes the Only camera I want!!

Time to start pricing up a 5D/6D I guess :O

    • +1

Luckily all FX are not excluded. You can get the d750 for $2039 after 15% off. Also included is a $150 gift card which makes it even cheaper. 7% cashrewards and 10% trs for me makes it less than $1600..

      • oh wow! that is a good price! If only I could pull off the same! :/

      • As far as I know $150 gift card is for in-store purchases only and cashrewards is through online purchases. How would you get both - Am I missing something?

        • My work has 7% off jb gift cards that can be redeemed in-store.

        • @Dealayed: What is your work?

        • @letmethefuqin: They use something similar like cashrewards called rewardgateway.

    • I got a 5D Mark iii from JB last year on a 20% off camera sale. Couldn't believe that they included that camera. I couldn't find the camera cheaper anywhere lest alone another 20% off…I ended up paying $2810. I was also after the Nikon initially (D800) but it wasn't included in the sale and also a similar price to other retailers.

      • I also got the 5d mk3 a couple of years ago from a JB sale, great value! Great camera!

    • I would say Nikon D610 with 300$ cash back and 150$ gift card is a pretty good deal :) I have not seen less from local stock in recent time.

  • I wonder if the 20% includes portable hard drives?

    • Says WD and Cloud HDD

      • Says Desktop and Cloud HDD…..they may be excluding the portables :(

  • +1

2 seasons of The Simpsons for $24 if the 2 for $30 offer sticks around.

  • On any of the upload images i dont see a 20% Blu ray reference (unless i have missed it). Can anyone please confirm.

    Cheers ~

    • +2

      The main image does.

      • haha - yep thanks!

  • +2

Surface Pro 4 comes out on the 12, you rekon it'll be included?

    • Fine print says excludes surface. Damn.

      • hmmmm mighty finneee

        • +1

Lucky they call it surface, what if they name it "Everything". lol…

  • Ends on the 16th? Dam this comes out on the 18th. 20% won't work on a pre order right?
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

    • This shouldn't be a preorder. I bought this at 50% off (when you buy a blu ray player) sale…. AWESOME SET BTW.
Best to call a store to see stock availability?

      • I bought that during a 20% off sale earlier this year. I guess it sold out and this is a re-release? But yeah the finish date sucks, there's something coming out on the 18th that I wanted to purchase.

    • +2

Unless you really want the box set, it might work out cheaper buying them individually.
Plus you can get the Ghibli movies not directed by Miyazaki.
      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

Edit: I just noticed you're in Perth. The Hay Street store (downstairs) should have the box set in the far back corner. There were around 6 last time I was there.

  • +1

For anything that is currently on sale right now on their website, is it 15% off extra on top of the current on sale items at the moment? Or will JB put the price back to RRP and then apply the 15% off (which ends up being more than the current sale for some items)?

  • Does it include GoPro cameras?

  • -7

    Star wars Complete Saga bluray
    Jbhifi $99
    Target $79

Does anyone know if we can price match with target and then apply discount or not?

    • You asked the same question six hours ago and had multiple people saying 'no'.

      • Thought that question was not clear and the answers were not definitive.Thats all

Guess i'll just have to find out instore on Thursday..

  • +3

    Thanks OP!!

I felt so sad to find that a camera I bought just 9 days ago now have a 150 AUD gift card free!! Gave a ring to the store, they asked to come in store, and gave me the gift card!! 150 AUD additional to me :D

    • So was that the difference or more or less?

      • The price (before and after the gift card promotion) was same, that is $1543. But now I have a $150 JB Hi-Fi gift card to spend on my future purchases :)

        • Good on them. What store?

        • +2

@smpantsonfire: Elizabeth St, Melbourne store, pretty much impressed with the helpful attitude of the store manager. When I rang them, the person was not much cooperating, but when I went in store and talked with the manager, he was swift.

  • I wonder if they'll be emailing out another one of those "extra 5% off" vouchers like the last one? When did that one turn up? I can't quite recall. The Friday after it started?

  • Does the 15% off cameras include the Sony a6000? If it does, it comes to about $680 which is pretty good considering the weak AUD and the fact you get an extra $150 gift card from Sony.

    • +1
      • Thanks. Maybe HN or Teds will price match? Anyone had success price matching cameras with them before?

        • +1

Good luck getting Teds to pricematch. Ive tried their online pricematching with cheaper australian stock many times. They never reply back. I wouldnt count on hardly normal either.

  • Where does it say anything about sales on Sony TVs?? I only see Home Theatre

  • Prices on their website is still the same. Is this instore only?

    • sale is online NOW

  • Thank you OP.
I have been waiting for the new Star Wars box set to be released (11/11) and because of your post I waited one day and saved $19.80. :D
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

  • +1

Urgh, so annoyed (since I could have saves a couple of dollars here and there as I bought a bunch of blu rays around 3 weeks ago on sale and now with this added discount, I could have gotten another blu-ray!

But thanks OP for the post!

  • +1

Conveniently Sopranos box set got jacked up from $125 to $140.

I do regularly see different JB's with different prices.

Have the old Star Wars Bluray Sets, but I really want them Steelbooks!

It's $129 on their website, so down to $103.20 with the 20% off. Should be the same in store?

      • That'd be right, I have heard their online is different too…. so 3 different prices.
Stickered $140 in store near me.

        • They don't always have time to update the stickers - price should be same in-store as online.

    • +1

As a kind user pointed out above, you can get the steelbooks for $19 each at Target for a saving of $6.

      • Did see that, thanks.

        • Plenty of stock in Target and JB. Pick your poison.

          They look amazing btw :D

    • -1

yeah they seem to have different prices even in the same store
have a look at there stock in the boxes on the ground, they usually update all the prices on the shelves but sometimes forget to update the price! and they usually give u the marked price

  • +1

Picked up A Hard Day's Night 50th Anniversary Edition on Blu-Ray for $10.38. Had a $30 sticker attached in store but scanned at the discounted price.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/music/Whats-Hot/umbrella-entertain…

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/cameras/compact-cameras/sony/sony-…

    I find this pretty impressive!

    $449.65 for the RX-100

  • So the Cairns Central store marked up The Blacklist season 2 (bluray) to $61. It doesn't even come down to the pre-20% off website version of $46.98. Absolutely disgusting. Luckily another local JB had it at the right price.

And yes, I did check with the staff; "we use different prices to the website".

  • Did anyone else see the email when it was first sent out and see "25% off all blurays & dvds", only for it to change to 20% within minutes?

    I swear they changed it…

    • I got the email and read it straight away, but didn't see that.

I was hoping they'd send an extra 5% off voucher like last time though damn it

  • -1

thought this was meant to expire on the 5th or something ?
