I feel your pain man, my wife the same. I personally just go ahead and book she complains hates the flying but when we get there she has a great time.
Its more my boss. 'You don't have any leave' and 'you've got deliverables during that period' and other silly crap like that. Some people just don't understand ozbargain
Be careful with travel insurance - they may not cover any volcanic ash related cancellations if it is from one of the two recently erupted volancos…

Just need to be aware that JQ only Price Beat International fares that are "Within the same calendar day if they’re international flights (excluding intra-Asia and trans-Tasman)"
The DPS-ADL TT flight for example only leaves on certain days of the week at 12.20am. The DPS-ADL JQ flight departure is around 10.30pm, so may not be eligibile.
