It actually does have a very good clone of Nokia's classic Snake game.
Then it was worth the +1 for the deal :)
Still too technical for the parents

Should hand out for free :)
review says its hard to txt with it.
If you can't figure out how to text on this, there is no hope for you. At all. And you switch text modes with the asterisk or hash key (or both).
People born in 1969 should all know this ^-^
After trying for months to teach my mum how to use a smartphone (and how she needed to charge it every 48 hours or so), I finally gave up and got her one of these. Perfect for technophobes. All she does is make and receive calls, this is perfect for that. For near $10 you cannot go wrong.
For $12.50… Im going to get one just for the sake that is $12.50!
actually saw a bunch of these in my local Coles going for $5 when you buy $30 recharge along with it. All I saw was the headline $5 but I scan it comes to $35 (??). The attendant had a look and told me I need to purchase $30 recharge along with it to get the price down to $5.
Anyone unlocked one for $1.49 on ebay?
Seems reasonable as an extra emergency camping phone
2G Network Band: 850/900/1800/1900 3G Network Band: 900/2100
This phone has previously been on sale for $9
Yep, purchased and unlocked with a code from eBay. All working well.
Things to note:
1. Optus is programmed to show as "voda AU R" - so that's what you'll see if you have an Optus or MVNO SIM (Amaysim etc).
2. 3G frequencies are best suited to Optus/Vodafone - won't give you NextG coverage because that's 3G 850.
This will work with any Vodafone Sim card?
Any cheap similar big button mobiles for the elderly? Thanks!
Telstra EasyCall, but Telstra can go die in a corner. Overpriced dog. Vodafone's Alcaltel flip 2067 also has large buttons but is usually around $80. Optus also has a Doro model but its a rip at $99.
This is ideal for any of Vodafone's prepaid plans from PAYG to 365 to maybe the $30 combo (if you want unlimited calls/txt).
Intriguingly, switching out of predictive text is the left soft key and then selecting the mode you want. The ringtone is loud enough to be heard in Perth. RECOMMENDED.
Deal has not expired - is on until the 17th.
No snake/tetris, no deal.
