Hi,
I was browsing whirlpool and came across this interesting thread about Telstra Amway plan - https://www.telstra.com.au/amway
Wondering if anyone in here has got this? Whirlpool. Thread is very convoluted, any IBO here who is willing to share some details for fellow ozbargainrs?
Has any one got Telstra Amway plan?

I just didn't get any of that…. At all..
Have you got this plan? There is no pyramid I am talking about.. I am just interested in getting this plan for 2 years and that's it. How will I lose friends in that? I am not recommending it to anyone..I think that was more of a joke/or a hint of reality.
What exactly are you asking here? The Telstra Amway plan seems really easy to understand, as long as you're an Amway IBO you can join. It's not cheap to be an IBO though, so if I were you I wouldn't bother if you're only looking to sign up to Telstra.
Amway products honestly have pretty good quality but you (IBO) are essentially the one being ripped off by Amway/people on top of you, so I didn't bother after a year of getting ripped off $700.I can be a VIP client and get this phone.. Will that be a better option than being an IBO (Independent Business Owner)? So nothing to sell or getting ripped off…
how did you go? are you interested in any new plan? latest deal - 256gb iphone8 with 60gb usage per month and loads calls including some roaming in some countries. let me know. Dont worry about negative comments.
OK Honestly, those "Amway only" plans don't look that special. Not worth the hassle if you aren't already in Amway. What are you looking for exactly?
I am looking at 15GB data, iPhone 6s, $292 credit on a $101 plan with Telstra..
was going to post about them earlier, but generally other recent no-contract plans seem better than Telstra's 24mth Amway ones, such as
- Telstra Double Data on $50 BYO+Casual Plan: 5GB Data + $1000 Talk, UNLTD SMS (New Connects Only)
- Optus $80 My Plan Plus Sim Only: 15GB Data, Unlimited Calls & Text
note that Amway's bonus data offer ends tomorrow
as per Whirlpool:
- Call Amway Regional Call Centre on 1800 45 46 47 for the contact details of an IBO (Independent Business Owner) including their Amway ID# and Last Name
- Register as a VIP Client - https://www.amway.com.au/Register/RegisterClientPublic
- Once you get your VIP Client number, call Telstra on 1800 426 699 or https://service.telstra.com.au/general/amway
also note that buying a phone on a plan isn't necessarily cheaper
Thanks Buddy, That is quite informative. I was wondering if there is any IBO here on Ozbargain?
Please either reply or send me a PM if you want.I have gone through the Whirlpool thread and it seems to tick all boxes for me. Unless there are any nasties that I am not aware of. Seems like signing up just as a VIP client will alleviate any ongoing cost or selling things to others.. Please correct me if I am wrong.
If you still need one I can send you the details of the guy on Whirlpool who let me use his number to sign up as a VIP. I get an email from them about 6 times a year with some offer on shampoo or other amway crap, beyond that theres no issues with it. At the time the Amway plan was better than any of the other telstra contract plans.
I'm an Amway IBO. I signed up around two years ago, simply because back then, you had to be an IBO to get access to the Telstra Amway deals. Now, you can be a VIP client (free) or IBO.
It cost me $99 to become an IBO, with a $20 renewal each year. I haven't purchased any Amway products as yet, but the samples I got were pretty decent. I just pay the $20 each year in case I ever want to purchase the washing powder at cost price.
Anyway, if anyone wants access to these Telstra Amway deals, please message me, and I'll sign you up as a VIP client. I need the following details from you:
- First & last name
- Date of birth
- E-mail address
- Landline OR mobile (just supply one)
- Postal address (no PO Box allowed)
If you feel comfortable providing the above info, then I'm happy to help. Otherwise, if you'd rather speak to someone 'official' from Amway, then call 1800 454 647.
Disclaimer: You will probably get some e-mails every month or so trying to sell you products (not from me, from an automated system), but you can quite easily unsubscribe by clicking the link in the e-mail.
EDIT: Sorry, just realised you can self register using this link: https://www.amway.com.au/Register/RegisterClientPublic You just need an IBO number and last name. Feel free to message me and I can provide you with this info if you'd rather DIY.
Mod Update Dec 2017 : User is no longer with Amway and is not able to assist with enquiries now.

Bahahaha - they used the word Amway, the original MLM pyramid scheme. They lost their 40+ demographic right there. The original "how to lose friends, and alienate people".
