Biozet Attack 1kg Laundry Powder (Front & Top) $2 Per Box - Coles (New Town, Tas)

Biozet Attack 1kg Laundry Powder

Saw this on a table at front of store, $2 per box/kg. They had about 20 Top loader boxes on this table (no front), but found another 10 or so front loader on the normal laundry shelves in-store (not shown as $2, forgot to remember ticket price :) ). Bought 8 boxes of front loader, scanned @ $2, no issues

  • Do people still use laundry powder or mostly changed to liquid now? I like liquid and they are constantly half price. Although been watching their RRps sneakly creeping up bit by bit

I read up on it a while ago (powder vs liquid) and the wisdom was powders have stuff in them that are less likely to form mould in the bowl (in the bits you can't see/clean by hand). Other ways to prevent this are limiting the use of fabric softeners and using washing machine cleaning cycles and powders (yes, there are powders for cleaning the innards of the machine). Particularly an issue for front loaders.

Powders perform better, store better and are better value (specials exempted).

Quite an interesting topic for the inner nerd (know it all).

Choice (magazine) has also consistently recommended powders over liquids over the years, showing they tend to return better results.

      • I find the powder clogs up on the draw.
        Have bosch front loader.

So switched to powder for that reason.

If powder cleans better, need it for my work clothes, baydoes the inner nerd recommend?(wfdTamer)

    • I mainly buy the bulk Duo powder from Big W. Around 90 loads for $12 normally ($9.60 on special a couple of times a year). Much cheaper than Groupon - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/216613 . :)

Or, based on the Choice review, spend a little more and try some of the Coles or Aldi options which are more expensive but clean better (than Duo).

    • We only use powder.
Liquid just doesnt seem as good.

  • Great price, my favourite washing powder.

I wonder if my local Coles will have it for the same price, I'm guessing not but its worth a try.

  • saw it at plympton adelaide for 99c, top loader only left.

You can use some of this powder mixed with water and it makes a good carpet cleaner. Much cheaper than buying a dedicated carpet cleaner like Preen For Carpets.

  • $10 for 2kg in Brisbane

  • Scanning at $5.50 at Coles Warrawong

  • $5.50 at Coles Keilor Downs too

  • $5.50 also at Coles Chadstone (VIC)
