Also this 25 piece drill bit set for $19 was $99. Doubt they are worth $99, but good value for $19.

      Ranging from 0mm - 13mm in 0.5mm rises

I bought one of these sets, the 0mm drill bit was missing …

      • +5

I'm pretty sure the 0mm bit should be there - In this set they made it from unobtanium

        • which sells for 20 million per kilo :)

      • +5

It's definitely there. Just pretend to put a bit in and you'll easily drill 0mm holes in anything.

      • +5

Be careful. I accidentally dropped my 0mm bit and it took me an hour to find it. Turns out it had rolled under my air guitar. No wonder I couldn't see the bloody thing!

Sorry guys, I can't come up with a pun, I've drank a few too many beers and I'm hammered. I'll try tomorrow.

    • You'd think for a price this good the website would be getting hammered

  • +2

    lots of cheap xtorque stuff

    https://sydneytools.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=xtorque

    https://sydneytools.com.au/xtorque-xto11m-10-pce-1-2-drive-m…

    $19 impact set

at that price it'd be the same quality as the lowest grade whatever from bunnings etc

    • I have the Kinchrome impact set from bunnings (which is about $50) and I'll bet the xtorque ones are almost exactly the same. Pretty good deal.

      • funnily enough the reg. price is $50

        LOLL

      • Don't buy your ute accessories from Jackoff either!

        • "Jackoff" seem to have very convincing pictures on-line, but I suppose a professional "job" can always be done by good web designers and a couple of grand. Could only come up with "Ute Buddie" and TRADEX AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (in NSW 2753) from ASIC.

Just ordered 3, $26.15 delivered to QLD.
You need to enter your address to have the delivery options.

      • Thank you

      • Was it $11.15 postage for just a single hammer as well?

        • +1

          $9.83 for a single hammer.

        • $9.93 for 1
          $10.54 for 2
          $11.15 for 3

I tried to add other items but the shipping increased to ~$20 then I removed them.

        • @Navgsc:
Interestingly, shipping is flat $6.83 for 1, 2 or 15 hammers in Sydney. Not sure if i have that many things to nail though…

  • These are great for when the wife complains about the broken washing machine…

    • +2

20oz hammers are often referred to as the "ladies" hammer…

      • +10

This particular model is anti-vibration so I doubt any ladies would be interested.

    • +3

do you hammer her with it?
      or you do nail her?

    • +2

I'd stop complaining also if someone threatened me with a hammer.

    • +3

My comment was in regards to Fargo Tv show

      • +3

In soviet russia, she is the washing machine.

        • +3

          Da

  • +4

I dont know why ive bought this…

    • +2

      because its $5

i kinda want that socket set but eh… I think there's at least half a dozen hammers in the garage.

    • +2

You and me both. I hardly ever use a hammer. I had no idea what a 20oz hammer looks like (could be a miniature one for all I knew), yet bought one anyway. Gotta admit if I didn't have a company car and had to pay for petrol to pick up crap I buy off here I'd never do it. Number of times I've wasted $15 worth of fuel to pickup a $2 item.

      • +2

lol got negged… i do that… i queue up pickups after or even during work hours so i can claim back the mileage from my employer… 75c a km to pickup $5 hammers!

        • +2

lol there's some SAD kboard warriors out there. I'm going to give you + to clear out the SAD lonely soul who negged you.

  • Is this the hammer that Australia shattered the Scottish with?

  • But how good is their product support?

And why is it sold using drug-dealer units?

Hey guys and gals. First post for Ozbargain but I want to make sure everyone is aware of this

    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2289266

Heaps of 1 post wonders like me. But I was about to order 4 things from Sydneytools and was looking for a code for shipping and came across the whirlpool forum post

I will most likely still order from them as they are cheap and I am willing to test the service out

    • They are hopeless for online orders in my experience. You place order and call 3 days later and it still hasn't been processed, however, never had any problems going in to buy something. It's surprisingly a big store with lots of staff

      • +1

I just ordered my stuff since I am from Melbourne. Paypal has pay after I receive the goods
Its kind of a win win for me. Do not need them asap so its all good

      • But my order has been shipped just after ~4 hours today!

        • There you go, I was just sharing my experience. Glad it processed quickly

        • Not saying anything bad about them. I even purchased 4 items off them
Just giving a general warning that most people are unsatisfied with the online sales. Hopefully it arrives within 3 weeks

        • My order has also been shipped with a invalid tracking number :(. Ill give it another day and then search the same tracking number

    • +1

I read through that thread and it has to be one of the most troll-filled threads on WP.
All the posters with strong views either pro or anti are 1 post wonders.
As someone else on the thread states - if it walks like a duck…….

      • Nah, they really are garbage. See my post below. They actually have a bad reputation with other stores in WA because they are so bad.

    • I can confirm they didn't even respond to my warranty request for a dremel.
I dialed their number so many times, they never picked up. No response via email.
To fix my problem I found a local company authorised to do Bosch repairs under warranty, the guy behind the counter there said "Sydney Tools? Hah. We have to do a lot of warranties on stuff theyve sold"

Sydney Tools are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. You have been warned.

The 125mm MILWAUKEE AG750-125 750W 125MM (5") ANGLE GRINDER at $59 seems like an absolute bargain. (I have enough of the smaller grinders already)

    https://sydneytools.com.au/milwaukee-ag750-125-750w-125mm-5-…

I was hoping for the 230mm version at a great price, but unfortuantely these have not been reduced in a similar way :(

  • +2

sydney tools are the shitest company ever to deal with.. don't be surprised if your order never comes

yeah - they're so bad I bought a Snickers bar off them and it didn't satisfy me

  • Shipping cost more than the price of this 2 X hammer price

  • -2

STOP ! HAMMER TIME! lulz… XD

  • Bought this morning, picked up from Brookvale lunchtime - didn't wait for the advice email.
There's a basket of them by the front door. Thought I saw an $8 sign next to it, but didn't take a snap.

    Many thanks OP.

  • Love the fact that they individually sent an email to people with orders telling that pickups were ready. But I now have the email of 22 other (potentially) ozbargainers.

  • My hammer arrived today in SA - seems good quality. Definitely worth $15.

  • Bought, pick up from Taren Point. Thanks OP.

  • My first experience with ST. Picked up the hammer (feels sold and heavy) the other day without any issues. (Although the customer service skills at the alexandria store leaves a lot to be desired but whatever). Also received my larger purchase (free delivery) within a few days with no issues. Can't really complain.
