yea, I grabbed like 15 shirts and 5 shorts, still wearing them! :>
bought way too much… like 50x shirts and 40 shorts… still have more than half of them in the plastic in the wardrobe somewhere…
Yes , Bought $100 in order to get free shipping. SOrry for being such a knob. Came with huge box . The delivery man totally screwd
I gave most to my mate especially the one with QuadX-LAnd here I think I got a bargain but ending up giving most of the stuff to my m8. SHould just donate some of them to non-profit
The tshirts are crap. They shrink after first wash. Beware
Mine are still fine, if they have shrunk I haven't noticed :) I have also updated the description as they were $1 when they last went on sale not $2.
Can confirm it shrinks a bit, use 3 of mine 3 times a week for gym, wash afterwards, first time it was like a blanket on me a year later it fits just right, got 2 sizes up from my usual
Shorts dont shrink as far as I know, but the polyester make isnt a nice quality more like a plastic sheet around your legs, poly/cotton blend is okay though
a year later it fits just right,
dude, pumping iron.
The polos are the worst - pills everywhere.
Pills everywhere?
What type?
The fabric isn't the best. A couple of grey tshirts that I ordered last time started piling badly after the first couple of washes.
Not a major problem though as they were destined to become my lounge around home/Hobo clothes.
Yep mine shrunk also there too short for me now.
Well there you go…got a pair of shorts out of it…bargain, oops I mean ozbargain!
what?
@holden93: shrunk into shorts…intended as a Friday joke
it's the delivery hero vouchers a few months later that caused ozbargainer clothes to 'shrink'
clap..clap..clap…..Great humor mate
I got a single grey shirt and it's great quality for the price.
Just like Mark Zuckerberg he has 7 grey shirts.
They shrink after first wash
Damn, and I thought I gained muscle :(
Double damn, I bought the shorts…imagine how I now feel to learn they shrink!
"100% cotton" cough, cough
Some are a mixture of 60% Cotton / 40% polyester
I bought the woven pants which include innear undies
After 1 day of using it, the inner-undies smell like my Jr. , unpleasant.
The pants also abit shreded after a few wash.Avoid.Try to buy jersey short instead, much more comfy and great for jog/resistance training
Shirt is fine. Just remember not to buy white shirt. It will show your nipple especially during sweaty-activity or summer day
Would like to give them my cash but still have too many stuff from previous deals.
What? OzBargain didn't raid them completely after their $1 deals?
Yeah I kinda wonder why they have such an insane amount of stock. OzB alone must have bought tens of thousands of items last time and they're still at it.
$62 for 6 shorts and 5 shirts delivered.
At that value, it doesnt matter if they pill. Summer is sorted.Cheers.
couldnt resist those prices for some basics. cheers
also kangol flash sale has some real good buys…jeans, sneakers, shorts etc all heavily reduced..
http://au.sportsdirect.com/flash-sale-six#dcp=1&dppp=100&Ord…how long do these guys take for shipping?
was a month last year.
ok. i was expecting a week… :P
is it coming from the uk?Yes. Normally 3 weeks for me.
..thanks jazoom & vjknight. no real hurry so all good.
seems ridiculously good value….i just bought a bunch of stuff for 70+ shipping. do these guys regularly have these 'flash sales' with 80-90% off…?Every few months.
cool…loving ozbargain lately, getting some good deals. glad i finally signed up instead of just lurking :D
There is a different flash sale every day. Well at least 4 or 5 a week. Also the clearance section always has cheap stuff.
basically once a season ends in the UK. for clothing and sports equipment if you can shop ahead of time youre winning.
Damn I ordered last week.
Got stuff at $1/$2 last year. Still going strong. For price much better than Kmart junk. Polos have pilled a little. Cotton T's and sleeveless ones are going strong.
I ordered last week. Notied that delivery went from $10 as $20 as soon as the cost of items went over $100. (could have been a coincidence with the extra ite being added).
Error paying with credit card, had to use paypal.
nice bought some rangers fc jerseys and shorts
Thanks OP.
5x T-Shirts, 4x Shorts, 2x Shoes for $55 delivered can't go wrong.
Anyone have experience with their canvas shoes?
Well I just bit the bullet and bought 5 pairs of these shoes. Light summer shoes are always welcome.
I assume the quality is similar to other ones I have bought in the past (ASOS brand) and will be worn out in a season, but for 6$ a pair after shipping, that is fine by me. Just hope they fit!
Couldn't help myself and bought 5 pairs too. But at $5 a pair Plus $10 shipping fee, doesn't that equate to $7 each pair.
Not a big fan of the shorts - they have an inner mesh which is quite uncomfortable. The polos were okay though.
Cut the mesh out?
Agree, I bought of a whole heap of the shorts and 3/4 length shorts the last time they were on special and the first thing I did was to cut out the mesh. It didn't affect the integrity of the shorts and they're still going strong.
It's smell bit dick-ish after 1 day use though
Tip: Pay using Paypal rather than credit card. If you want to return stuff, you need to pay postage, which can be around $20+. However, if you pay with Paypal, they will cover the costs of return postage upto $45.
is that still going?
thanks, ignore/delete my comment
Not anymore?
Sorry, unfortunately this page is no longer available.
Not available anymore
I believe it was removed within a short time after my post. I used it to purchase my goods through the link.
I see thanks
Damnit! Spent 100… still.. Got good stuff.. Besides slazenger
Got a tonne of shirts and shorts when they were $1 each. To be honest I'd like to move on from being the Slazenger man.
Surprisingly I've only encountered a single OzBargainer over the past year (I didn't speak to him but he was wearing the official Slazenger uniform, as was I).
The polyester slazenger shirts from last year for a dollar each are excellent gym shirts, and the cotton tees make good pjs
Just received the email after one day of ordering:
Unfortunately the items listed below are no longer in stock. As a result we have had to cancel these items and cancel the payment authority on your card. You will not be charged for any of these items.
Just also report my experience.
I have had one happy purchase order before. However, the last sale involving tennis gear, I placed an order for a pair of tennis shoes. To also take advantage of the postage ($10), I added a few other small items of clothing.
Lo and behold, I received an email a couple of days later, saying that the shoes are out of stock (though it was in stock when the order was placed). Nevertheless they are planning to through with the order for the minor clothing items!
I sent an email straight away asking for cancellation of the whole order, given that the whole point of the buy was for the shoes, but received no response. Just now an email arrived saying that the batch without the shoes have been picked up by the courier. Paypal confirmed that they have taken the amount for the minor clothing items + the $10 postage.
Given that the items are coming from overseas (even though the website is indicating Australia, I believe the stock is coming from ?UK), it is going be hard to return the stock to the sender when it arrives.
I have sent another email via their website to ask for cancellation hoping the courier can prevent the sending but I don't think this is going to be successful.
I wonder if Paypal can do anything, given that return postage could be an issue.
Weird reason to neg the deal ocoolio - but yeah not coolio that they cancelled your order.
Why would it be? Changing your order a day after you have paid for and they accepted the order is is a "Major issue with retailer", which is a proper use of a negative vote. Just like "x d" explained above, they are in fact dodgy.
nothing to do with being dodgy at all. the fact they responded within a short time frame is a bonus unlike a lot of retailers who would sit on your order for days or even a week before notifying you. dont forget also, they may have stock, but that stock may not be in a sellable condition which they only would find out when they process your order.
you have a right to be disappointed and so you should.I have to say that the emails I received from them appear to be all automatically generated.
Still no response from a human to this day.
I may try the FB contact as per OP below.
My warning to others is to not add anymore items into the order if you are only after one big item order, otherwise you can get screwed and be somewhat P off.
My time is worth more than taking the items back to the post office for sending it back. I will keep the items and not bother with claiming the $10 postage that I would rather not have spent. However, not very satisfied with the lack of contact from them.
so far all good here…
-ordered 7 items (including 2x slaz track pants & canvas sneaks/the rest was kangol jeans shorts sneaks from that flash sale…)
-all in stock. order confirmed & processed and now being dispatched…
-6 x emails from sportsdirect & barlin (courier) from the 16th-18th updating me on the status of my order as its being processed
-tracking link is working fine too
….pretty damn good 1st experience for me so far…perfect communication & no nasty surprises. now just waiting for deliveryI have ordered 6 times from Sportsdirect never had a problem, earliest delivery took 2 weeks the longest delivery I believe was 4 weeks during the Christmas period.
If you ever have to contact them regarding your order private message them via their facebook page. I found you usually get a response in 24 hrs whereas if you contact them through their website it will take up to 2 days.
cheers…thanks for the tip ;)
edit: nvm
clothes were bought on 16/10, arrived today the 27/10 - 7 business days ..awesome stuff, will buy again
I'm impressed. Ordered on the 21st and there was an attempted delivery today when I was not home. Just 1 week. Standard int delivery. Took about 2 to 3 weeks previously. Will recommend them unless they messed up my order lol. Will know soon.
received my order yesterday too..17th - 28th (8 working days) excellent tracking via omniparcel/barlin.
all purchases meet expectations except one pair of kangol jeans which seem little off (larger) in sizing compared to the other identical pair i purchased…always tricky buying jeans/denim online, apart from that all good, already looking at a few more items
Does anyone remember the times when these were only $1, and free shipping for orders >$100
