  • Would love to play this. Do they make a Linux port?

    • will never happen. x plane on Linux is arguably better.

wish there was a snakes on a plane mod.

  • Can you use a Radio TX as a controller with this SIM?

Anyone interested in a multirotor racing sim, have a look at FPV Freerider. There's a free edition and a full edition for $4.99USD. It works off USB controllers or if you have a Radio Transmitter which supports it, (or an adapter) you can use the transmitter as a controller.

  • Love this game.

Is this a game or just simulator? Will this actually help in learning to be a pilot? Sorry I have no idea about these.

Flight Simulator is more of a simulator in my opinion. Flight simulator basically lets you fly a plane to wherever you want for example new york to london while using all of the instruments in the cockpit. If you want, you can even download free or paid addon to make your game experience even better for instance better graphics, more airplanes and so on (not from steam of course). It is a great complement to real-world flight training and it might help you in your way to become a pilot but it's certainly not a substitute for a formal training program conducted by a certified flight instructor.

Hope this helps and you check out the game play on YouTube to get a feel of the game before purchasing it.

Yes, this was the answer I was looking for. Thanks.

Its a great game and I have played a lot of hours but when I took a real life introductory flight in a light plane I can't say this game did me any good. It's a totally different experience especially because of the way the wind pushes you around in a light plane.

      • Thanks for the feedback. I had a feeling about this. The real world G forces, vibrations, inner ear pressure etc that are not easy (possible) to recreate. I appreciate your feedback as it confirmed my suspicions about not helping.
