[Esio Entertainment] Dawn of War II (Steam) FREE - Final Deal

440

Heya OzBargain,

I'll make this short and sweet. Esio Entertainment opened on 5th February 2015 and gathered 69+ votes. I've posted 16 deals (17 including a deal posted by another user). It's been an absolute pleasure in being a part of the Representative community and will still continue my personal membership for years to come. The decision to close Esio Entertainment didn't come lightly. I've been considering it over the last 2 months. I decided to close it due to the time constraints I'm now facing; full-time university and night shifts at work. Perhaps Esio may see a limited return on holiday periods, but for now the store will be closing permanently. If anyone still wishes to use their personal coupon codes, please PM me and I'll see what I can arrange.

This final 'deal' is 10 free keys for Dawn of War 2. I have put them into an image to avoid "copy-pasters". It's firmly first in first served.

Once again, thank you OzBargain for being so great over the last 7-8 months. It's been an absolute pleasure.

~Dagmar

Only the second last steam code was valid & already used code. The rest seems to give me a invalid product code

      Gotta be fast!

I agree with this guy, I don't know why we are getting down voted! I am not saying we were too slow but the fact half of the codes were Invalid and NOT claimed by anyone. Rest of the half Steam said it has already been activated, but other half DID NOT exist!

        • Yeah there's 3 theories dat I thought why Steam doesn't recognized some of those codes.

          1. Publisher or Valve deactivate the codes, umm why?

          2. They not real codes.

          3. Expired, maybe.

@Garbage Doll: This game originally had Games for Windows Live DRM and was later moved to Steamworks, but with only keys for some versions of the game working for activation.

        • @Plankton:

Dats explains alot. Didn't see this was a GFWL game. Fair enough. The OP should have mention dat in first place.

          @Garbage Doll:

The OP should have mention dat in first place.

I would have if I was aware of that. @Plankton thank you for clearing that up.

It seems they're all gone. Have a great day, everyone!

I'm not sure what to think.

      • Probably the same thing as 99.9% of us…

      • I am sorry but what I meant was I understand they were gone too quickly but Steam said it has already been activated, but for the rest half it said code is invalid. Doesn't the mean it wasn't taken by someone already but the actual code in the picture is wrong? As in it doesn't exist?

        • Probably just Steam shooting back a false negative. A user said the second last one was the only one valid. This is after the first two commenters said they took the one each.

        • More likely those keys were previously disabled by the game publisher as in made invalid. If it was a valid key even if it was already redeemed it would say in the Steam key redemption that the key has already been redeemed.

        • @Dagmar:

They could make any claim they want doesn't mean it's true. I could claim that i redeemed one of the keys but it wouldn't make it true.

        • @hollykryten:

These keys are one of the few that came from retail copies.

        • Even if I go through all the codes now, Same ones as before still say it has already been activated but others are still invalid. I don't think steam would give two different messages for same error. Thanks a lot for the all the effort though :). I think may be you just mistyped the codes when you created the Image, or may be they were just made invalid before any one could use them.

        • @Dagmar:

You see game publishers have been known to invalidate retail keys sold through game key sellers that were obtained from regions and sold to key sellers where it wasn't meant to be sold from. Game keys could have also been reported as obtained using a stolen credit card and so also invalidated by the game publisher. Remember the Far Cry 4 and G2A key seller saga https://www.vg247.com/2015/01/28/g2a-responds-to-deactivated… where Ubisoft disabled a bunch of keys. If the game publisher invalidates retail game keys it would show as invalid in the Steam key redemption.

So when the Steam key redemption claims that the key is invalid it's by no mistake. Those keys were invalidated by the game publisher.

        • @hollykryten:

I'll reiterate for you; these keys came from retail. I bought hard copies of the game from EB Games when they were on clearance.

        • @Dagmar:

Well then that's weird but still should show as already redeemed instead of invalid in the Steam key redemption.

  • Doh! Missed out, however thanks for all the deals
    :)

Good job starting a venture even before you were doing fulltime uni. Best of luck.

    • Thanks man. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do.

  • Am i too late? :S

    • No, you're early for nightshift.

  • Just got the hidden key thanks ;-)
