  • I bought some of these last deal. They are super bright and look very high quality. Only issue is make sure you have enough room in the recessed fitting, I had to bend and cut mine to make the body fit. I would buy more otherwise.

  • I'm confused. Why spend $24 or more instead of just buying an LED globe for $5

    • Got a link for a $5 LED globe that has similar specs? (700 lumen, 60d, dimmable, 3 year warranty)

… and have those specs been verified by LEDbenchmark (or similar)?

I have bought many LED spotlights for around $5. Some worked great. Some started flickering after a few months and the eBay seller did not care about warranty after the feedback period was past. Some started melting after a month.
All in all, I can't be bothered with this type of lottery anymore, and would rather buy branded ones with a real warranty.

BTW, retrofit means it will likely work with a Halogen transformer. The $5 ones may or may not; again, a lottery.

  • Do you have DR450 on sale? I do not need to replace my transformer with these I bought before.

  • No warm white ?

  • Aldi had the bulbs for sale last week. I just bought 2 GU5.3 or whatever they ate. Had the three other types there too.

  • I have 2 of these with the MR16 fitting. Have been very good.

I have tested quite a few cheap ones (i.e. $5 and under) and many have already died or not very bright.

I'm going to replace all mine with these in the end: D13 Multi - 13W LED Downlight kit with three outputs

Has a switch to change the colour. All in one (no need to use old transformers). Also dimmable. Have been quoted $30.25 each
