  • Very good deal +1

    • Might need to tick 'associated with Telstra', hey Boss?

  • Thanks ordered one.

  • Can i use an aldi sim in this? Seems like a great phone for camping or trekking in the blue mountains. Also, aren't they getting rid of the 2G network soon?

    • Only supports 850Mhz 3G, which means it won't work on Optus at all. And will be unable to pickup signal in many rural areas, where other phones would.

    • no unless you unlock it.

  • Rubbish phone. Way too tiny buttons and screen if you have fat fingers. I'd take Vodafone's flip over it anyday. That said, battery life is around 9 days with minimal usage and call quality is fine.

  • Seems like a short battery life phone. Only 180 minutes talk? I mean the s6 talk time is listed as 17hrs on 3g.

    • +15

      The S6 does not cost $9 ;)

      • Hahaha fair point. I was just comparing it as a reference to my smart phone, which I consider to already have a short battery life.

    • Does your S6 battery really last 17 hours on standby? Let alone being used for calls for 17 hours straight?!

      • hmm…. he didn't say it was "unplugged" from power…lol…

      • Haha, not at all! I'd say probably 17 hours standby if I didn't use the phone at all. Probably lasts just over 12 hours of moderate use. That's just what was the listed specs though.

  • If you bought it just for the Telstra credit it would be 10% off, plus you can use for Google Play and you get a phone!

Not to mention cheap Event Cinemas tickets :)

Last time I got a phone with $10 on sim it was not available to be used as google play credit.was categorised differently.

      • -1

What about creditme2u? Can you transfer the credit to another telstra prepaid number with google play enabled?

        • Good idea. I didn't try, so don't know if it works.

        • +2

The $10 credit is classified as bonus credit so you wont be able to transfer credit via creditme2u. It also cant be used for data, only calls and text

        • @lil_daredevil: thanks for that.

Could go see a movie, or buy a mobile cellular phone. What a time to be alive…

    • +3

99% of movies are not worth going to these days

plus this phone is worse than a nokia 3210

      • +2

Sicario and The Martian are reviewed well

        • Didn't see what the big deal was about Sicario. Maybe it helps if you're an American audience.

  • Locked to telstra and sim expires in 28days?

  • +4

    Cheaper here.

    • lol, btw that is a very expensive "door stop" (offcut).

  • Can i buy more then one?

  • +3

Basically free $10 Telstra credit if you buy then sell to CEX: https://au.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SZTET126TELB&name=ZTE%2…

  • +1

    Conspicuous consumption much?

    • Not as much as I'd like to.

  • I assume this is locked to Telstra - can anyone confirm this? Anyone have experience getting it unlocked? Would make a handy backup phone even if I never use the credit with it.

    • Yes, its locked. No bother to unlock it. If wish to use optus sim, I would buy another optus locked ZTE F286 for $10.

  • Works with aldi?

  • Straight to JB this go…

  • Anyone recommend a cheap unlocked phone to use overseas?

    • why not buy one from oversea ? might be cheaper …
