Hmm dont know. I think the best days are certainly behind it, slow SOC nowadays. I think its got that "me phone broke, oh I can buy this now off the shelf" convenience. Its got the specs of galaxy s3 4g when you think about it. I mean its like not for suckers. If you send your old cheese out for a phone and they come back with is instead of magic beans ($120 iphone 6 24 month plan) you'd be pretty happy.

    HSDPA 900 / 2100 - XT1541
    LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800) - XT1541

fail for Telstra next g and 4gx. Not recommended.

    • Thanks Lov, very useful info.

Its a good thing I read your comment telstra is the only network i can get here.

This doesn't seem That good for ~$300 delivered grey import. The battery life should be amazing with that SoC and battery size. The $40 huawei Y550 used same SoC and could get 10 hours screen time.

  • There are two Moto g 3rd gens that you can buy. Don't buy this one. The other one supposedly has better mobile bands and more RAM.

Yep its the XT1550 you want!

      • Quoting a quote on whirlpool:

        However, do note:

[T]he model on offer from Expansys is the XT1541, and claims support for LTE bands 1, 3, 7, 8 and 20. This means it’ll work on our basic 4G networks (1800MHz, band 3), but not on the 4G+ networks run by Telstra/Optus (700MHz, band 28) or Vodafone (850MHz, band 5). We’ve seen that the local release of the Moto G will at least feature support for Band 28.

1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage for this 'grey' model. $312 delivered.

The XT1550 model has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage for $362 which can be ordered now with Good Guys. ETA is "soon".

      link?

    • "ETA is "soon".

Is that kind of like how my wife says "fine" ??

  • The phone is probably ok. The reviews are probably ok. It's Kogan that's not ok. Grey Import and no warranty is not ok. Good Luck buying from Kogan.

  • 1GB RAM and no 3G 850 = no buy at this price.

    Oppo Mirror 5s (2GB RAM/16 GB ROM/Dual SIM/LTE) seems a much better phone for $269 @ DSE

  • Oppo @ 960 x 340 pixels? No thanks .
I've been hanging for a moto g16gb for so long now I'm over it. My old moto g 2013 just updated itself to Android 5.1 and runs like a dream! Hhmmmm. Xperia m5 anyone?

  • this is the gimped 1GB ram version. you want the 2GB dual sim version, which is at least $100 extra irc.

  • This is not the Moto G you want, not in Australia.

No surprises that Kogan are selling the wrong one for us.
