I think they are worth it. It's pretty close. We still get our barrel out every fortnight to clean shag pile rugs.

I upgraded from a dc44 which would be similar. The dc4x is like 65 air watts. This is 100 air watts. It's like 53% more power. It's probably 53% louder. It's like useful to use for the car and carpet where the dc44 was kinda just like a spruce up. Whereas this actually is like vacuuming. I guess the dc4xx replaces a robot vac where this does that and means you only have to get out the barrel vac monthly (if you have carpet). It still doesn't do shag pile rugs.

This deal is for the V6 Animal, wheres as the ones you have linked to are the basic v6 cordless. This deal is the cheapest for a v6 Animal.
Yeah I got the v6 $317.20 one from gg eBay. Still I think the animal is always $100 more than the v6 and if your quick you can get that $99 redemption kit on top. So I think this is a sweet deal if you want the mini motorised tool. Plus I think maybe the animal has a nicer exterior finish if I'm not wrong.
What benefit is there in getting the free toolkit? It looks like the Animal comes with those tools including the mini motorised tool. Good to have spares?
@deeevan: sorry not up with what comes in the box. My v6 was vanilla so the extras were a good bonus. Mostly the hose was the prime thing.
