i overheard a lot of praise being showered on Pipo X8
by an on-air gathering of Amateur Radio operators, while
out & about, w/ my Scanner poking around Ham repeater
freq's.

Lotsa ports, no battery, 7" touch screen, cheap, even
with 32 or 64 GB of storage. Runs from 12 V DC, eg,
from Car Lighter socket. Has port for wired N/W cable.

Sits facing you when on a desk. Quad-Core Intel inside.

Worth a look, they all agreed.

Cf apps AliExpress & BangGood, etc.

      To the 2nd commenter, eg, maybe when they see sales drop or bring out an 8" or 9.7" or HD version, they'll want to sell-out the older ones. Or… Some new vendor may need to hit new targets to keep their discount.

      Show me the Discount offers, from reliable AliExpress vendors, & see if I buy some… :-)

    Is there a specific reason that the device not having a battery is a good thing (for your situation of course)?

    It's got an Atom, so it's relatively slow…

    For the price, if you can find a second hand Surface Pro (1) then it will outperform it. I've seen the 128GB models for around $300 at some Cash Converters.

    And of course you can run it off 12V car cigarette adapters.

        This is an intriguing product but i can see why it doesnt get a lot of buyers.

        its tied to a wall, so you may as well use a monitor, so why does it have a screen?

          By having a screen, PiPo gets the Windows license for free and it works out to be cheaper to install a screen than buying the license.
