  • TGIF in title? (even though it's not valid Friday :-)

    • TGINF?

    • Perhaps they are thankful that it's Friday because they get to charge full price again :-)

  • And to avoid confusion, that's Southbank in Melbourne, not Brisbane.

    Please fix the title.

    • How can there be confusion when there are no stores in QLD. Pretty self explanatory.

      • There used to be but it seems it is gone now. Doesn't matter, the title should have been less ambigious to everyone (including people new to Brisbane).

Hey, I completely forgot about that, Thank you! I'll change it now :)

    • That's true but I've got Southbank VIC and the VIC is meant to stand Victoria …Melbourne :p

      • +1

Actually, the VIC was added later by a moderator. Your original post did not contain VIC.

You can click on "Revisions" just under the title and view the changes that were made and by whom.

        • ohh, Sorry! I said this in a post below, i'm new to this site so i'm just getting used to everything. But thank you for explaining that:) Cheers Jdr! :)

    • um …this joke is completely lost on me :s

  • TGI FRiDAY'S

    Not valid Friday ?????

  • guys from team got food poisoning on last week when we had team lunch there

    • Did you all order the beef or the chicken?

      • beef burgers
3 out of 5 didn't feel well after

        • You should report it to the council. There may be other people affected by this and if so, the place needs to be investigated by health officers.

        • @jv: I probably give it another try - they used to be ok. people reviews on internet also show that they hit-and-miss on quality.

          @Skky:

also show that they hit-and-miss on quality.

food poisoning is a bit more serious than 'quality'.

in severe cases, people can die…

        • Were those 3 people not used to eating extremely fat dense food? I can guarantee you it wasn't food poisoning rather just feeling crappy from overeating. Coming from someone who somewhat frequently visits TGIs I can tell you the food is incredibly filling and can very easily make you feel a bit sick from overeating, especially if you're not used to fast food, burgers etc.

        • @tp0:

I can guarantee you it wasn't food poisoning

So you've tested the food they ate?

        • @jv: It's simple probability. They weren't all affected. The user stated they "didn't feel well" as opposed to being off work vomiting for a week (what actual food poisoning does). It's a relatively well run establishment with a high profile. It's so unlikely that food poisoning is the issue here that I may as well guarantee it.

        • @tp0:

          It's simple probability.

          You're implying it's a certainty…

vomiting for a week (what actual food poisoning does)

          That's just a probability…

It's a relatively well run establishment with a high profile. It's so unlikely that food poisoning…

Have you heard of the Langham Hotel ?

        • @jv: HEY! That was my link. ;)
