  • Spotted this at Watergardens VIC as well, could very be nationwide.

  • That's a price match label (probably matching Masters) available until 27/9/15, according to the date on the label.

Doing a few searches for Byron 2 burner, this one comes up at $69 at Mitre 10. Could be what they're price matching it with?

    Mitre 10 link here

    • looks good, perfect for small balcony.. whats the normal RRP?

  • cant find this online at all.. anyone got an image of what it looks like?

  • First time BBQ buyer. Thinking to buy it. Any feedback about this model? Is cleaning easy for this? What liquid do you use to clean it after every use. Where to get the cheapest LPG bottle for this?

    • Yeah, I didnt find any feedback about this but I guess someone other folks have bought this eg nisarg or someone else can give you more specific inputs.

      • I own this model, bought it about 5 years ago as a house warming present for my bro, who doesn't really cook however he loved it because it got him cooking the basics.

He then moved to a house with a big BBQ and gave it back to me. I do happen to cook and BBQ quite a lot, I prefer coals, however they can be messy and harder to adjust heat and mine at least doesn't have a hood. IMHO, this is a good deal, however this is not a great BBQ:

        Pros:
        smallish, fits on balcony
        Grill and flat plate
Cheap and light, easy to move with wheels
Easy to use, fits standard gas
Has a hood (pretty standard nowdays)

        Cons:
On lowest settings, it can go out with a stiff breeze.
Parts of the cooking area do not get hot. On the flat side you can turn it up and use most of the area, on the grill side you can use the are over the burner bar the outer 5cm on the left and right and on both sides there is probably about 5-10 cm at the bottom that's useless (in total probably about 75% usable cooking area or a little more)

Having said that I like the BBQ, I wouldn't replace it any time soon, and I have cooked some kick arse stuff on there. Just don't expect to cook for more than 6 adults if you want to get everything out in one go, and learn the BBQs idiosyncrasies and you will be fine.

Build quality isn't great, but this isn't really a con at 99 bucks let alone 69. It's adequate, and it been on a balcony now for a total of 6 years with a plastic BBQ cover most of the time, and the only part that's deteriorated is the 2 legs that don't have wheels have rusted slightly on the bottom but it's not a big deal. Apart from that the markings around the knobs have worn off but who needs those

  • There was at least one more after I bought one at bunnings mt gravatt today. Price still labeled as 145 but scanned at 69.

  • none at the bunnings i visted in sa

  • I have just visited villawood bunnings (nsw) Their price is $145.
And they don't match with that price.
