do these smell like rubber, i bought a rug from ikea that has rubber underneath and the smell was horrible
threw it out.whats the base made of?
Same here.. my Ikea rug stank like rubber.. left it to air out outside for a few weeks and that helped.. overall it took months for the smell to go away! .. These rugs are not made with rubber and have a string underlining like your run of the mill carpet does.
I think they use rubber on outdoor rugs and welcome mats to help water proof the rugs underbelly
