Google Play - The Dark Knight Rises Game $0.19 (Was $9.73)

980

Batman - The Dark Knight Rises game on Google Play for just $0.19. Original price was $9.73.

As the Dark Knight, you’ll get to roam in the nooks and crooks of the dark and gloomy Gotham City to fight crime and ultimately face your worst nightmare, Bane. Thankfully, Batman never comes unprepared without an arsenal, which range from the Grapnel to the Batarang and more. You’ll also get some help from allies like Lucius Fox, Commissioner Gordon, and perhaps even the catwoman herself, Selina Kyle, along the treacherous journey.

The game boasts plenty of missions to keep you occupied, as you’ll have to deal with hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks, and car chases. Speaking of cars, here’s your chance to be the pilot of The Bat and the Bat-Pod.

The file size of the APK is a huge 1.8GB, and you’ll have to download an additional 1.8GB game data – bringing them to a whopping 4GB. Make sure you got enough space in your device before purchasing.

Thanks for the heads up on the Ginormous download .

    • But no mention of pay to win (in-app purchases)
      :(

I thought the same, discovered I had already bought it…never played it…I wonder how many apps I have like that

reminder to get Google Opinion Rewards. Pay for this stuff by answering questions like "Are you male or female?"

Great app but I haven't received a survey since August 1. They might be sick of giving away money.

      • I received one just a couple of days ago. I think it's random

It probably helps to be interesting. They spy on my location history and offer me surveys. I seem to get a new one every time I visit a different Woolies, for example.

If you do the same thing every day, or don't let it see your location history, they may have asked you all the questions about your demographics, already.

If you say NO to one of the unpaid surveys that will target you better, the paid surveys will dry up.

      • Saym… Cept it's been a couple of months now.

        • as Wraith said, I think allowing location/GPS information allows for extra context-based surveys from someone who has ACTUALLY BEEN to the shop they are surveying, eg McDonald's, Bunnings, Coles, Dan Murphy's.

    • Yep. I used my credit for this game.. hehe.. it's a good app. I think my last Kairosoft game was bought using credit from this app. :)

  • Support Chromecast?

    • anyone?

      i bought it too.

Will it work on a Ouya if i buy one?

  • I'm seeing it as $0.19 :) hehe..

It's 2.03GB download though.. bit big for me.. but I've added it to my Google Library because one day I might own a tablet.

  • Got this back in 2012 on the google play birthday sale I think it was 15 cents or something back then,

    From Google Play product page:
    In-app Products
    $1.29 - $129.99 per item

    From game reviews:

TDKR’s aggressive in-app purchases are much harder to justify. Over the course of the game you earn currency to buy essential upgrades. But this currency accumulates far too slowly – after hours of play I hadn’t earned enough credits to buy even half the upgrades. Players can speed up the process by buying credit packs ranging from $1.99 all the way to $99.99. This power-up progression feels unnaturally slow. It feels like a Gameloft money grab.

    • So basically like every single Gameloft game ever then (other than Tin Tin).

  • i remember paying 10 cents for this and still felt like ripped off :(

  • can we get a couple of game reviews from those who have played it….. I don't want to waste my 20c if it's not a good game!

    • Game looked nice but didn't like the controls
(though I don't like the controls of most 3rd person touchscreen games)

    • Didn't pay for it. Played it for 10 minutes and found it to be quite dull so I uninstalled it.

  • Good game, was well worth the $0.25 I paid for it in 2012. Only issue was that it got stuck somewhere 70% through and I could not be bothered to play it again from scratch to find out whether that bug was a one-off.

  • can you run this game from sd card?

    • If you can move the game to SD Card…and your Phone/Tablet supports that.. then don't see any problem with that.

      • awesome, bought it anyway - will delete things once I can spare the bandwidth to try!

        Cheers ozboy

  • There seems to be an error with the game, I can't seem to get it to install :/

  • Is there a way to purchase without actually downloading and installing? I would love to buy this now, while it's on offer, but I don't have enough space on my device to download it…

EDIT: Don't worry, worked out I can purchase the app, then hit the X to stop it from downloading; previously I thought that doing this cancelled the download then automatically reversed the purchase…
