I did my search for suitcases late last year and found that there's quite a few other shops (online and in-store) that sell these at the same price as DJ's discounted prices or lower - and those prices are the same every day… some offer free delivery.
So although the 40% discount sounds good and it is relatively cheap compared to their usual prices, it is worthwhile Googling the particular one you're looking for - unless of course you need the suitcase today.
Yeah, I bought one for my cousin at 50% off at Victoria Station. There was also the ebay deal with Peters of Kensington that made it 52% off.
40% off at DJs is really the max you should pay! (and not too bad if you can get staff discount on top)
(and that's ignoring the Springvale clearance sales, because they are more pot luck on what models you'll get)
It makes me wonder how much DJs (and Myer) make on each one of these suitcases that get sold every other day when it's not discounted…. Particularly since other smaller stores that have much less "buying power" are selling at discounted prices and are still able to make a profit.

40% off is a pretty normal price anywhere, including David Jones and Myer.
A few months back we bought from Victoria station and they were a bit cheaper than Davis Jones who then had 40% off Samsonite.

no deal. 40% is pretty standard as what alot of others have said. places like bagworld and strandbags have 40% off daily so no biggie. if its anything more than 40% then we're talking. bring back the BOGOF Myer did like 6 months ago
