no restrictions as far as they said in the ad.

unless of course your local store manager won't honour it…

    • +4

Yeah that's the other problem with Subway deals, some don't partake :/

  • Lunch for 2 sorted

Wonder if you can upgrade to meals on this deal (coke + 2 X cookie)

    • +3

      Lunch for 2 sorted

      It's 2x 6 inch Subs

      • +1

        It's 2x 6 inch Subs

        it's for 2 X Average sized Peoples

        • Now that we've established the deal is for 2 average people, can anyone copy and paste proof about whether you can get a drink and cookie too?

        • -3

It's for two averaged size peoples
          Gotta do it right

      • +1

6 inches not enough for you?

        • +6

For some people, 6" hardly touches the sides.

          Sides of stomach lining..

  • +1

Why subway uses imperial in a metric country

    I demand my 10cm subs

    • +3

I demand my fair 15cm rounded bread sandwich!

    • +5

Ok I'll take a bite out of my 6" so you can have the remaining 4" ;)

    • because sex jokes

    • +2

      A 10cm sub:, that's a 3.937 inch sub.

      • +1

Hmm that's ok. As long as they charge only 65.616% of the price of a 6" then.

      • You work with what you got.

    • Because it originated from America, just like all the other popular fast food joints that are in Australia (Quarter Pounder at Maccas, 5" and 4" buns at Hungry Jacks etc).

      • -4

        Hungry Jacks

There are no Hungry Jacks in America…

        • +3

          It's called Burger King.

Jared ended his career the same way he started it. Trying to get in to smaller pants.

Jared likes his subs like he likes his girls. 6 and 12.

    • +21

      Jared's going to jail:

Big black dude in next cell: "Don't worry Jared, you can still get a footlong in here."

    • +5

Puts a whole new meaning to eating fresh.

    • +4

The kids had a better chance of out-running Jared when he was fat.

Ad came on again, can confirm they said 'any'

  • Any 2 for 10…
But I doubt that we can make combo meal, because that smart pos might automically change to two 6" sub, then make one of them as a combo meal…

  • Most foot-longs are approx $10 anyway… but a good deal (once confirmed) cause I suppose you can mix and match! :)

    • Yeah and they are hoping you get one of the cheaper ones in the combo

    • Yea, I'm no fast-food or subway professional but I assumed you could customise your sub and they always cut the subs in half anyway as the last step? This allows you to change up the bread and save 25 cents off or so either way. Small prices differences between 6" and 12" subs remain the ongoing dilemma of life.

  • +1

I thought the ad specified 2 subway wraps for $10 ?

    • Nope, definitely subs!

      • They were showing wraps in the ad. I could be wrong… happens a lot lol.

      • on the site has the 2 wraps for $10 deal
        https://www.subway.com.au/Two-Wraps
with a youtube vid - is that vid the same as the ad which you saw on channel 7 ?

        • -1

Nope lol I know the difference between the 2 ;)

Have had phone ready to get a pic the last few ad breaks but apparently they didn't pay for this timeslot :(

  • I saw a poster for 2 wraps for $10 in Subway at Lidcombe.

  • You should be aware that wraps are no healthier than the breads already on offer at Subway. They contain the same number of calories/kilojoules.

    For a 6 inch sandwich:

Wheat, white and multigrain are around 830kJ

    Wraps are 917kJ

Italian herbs and honey oat are around 970kJ

The flatbreads have around 1100kJ! The extra energy is best used on cheese or sauces.

    • Totaling 3500kj in a meal is not that bad. Considering the recommended for the average count potato is about 8500kj

      • I wouldn't call a 6" sub a full meal though. More like a moderate snack.

        • Referring to a 2x6in or footlong actually.

    • Sure, but the wraps do have less carbs (but more salt) than the bread.

      • Huh? Less carbs? Most of the calories from any kind of bread is going to come from the carbs. So equal Kj means roughly equal carbs. They might have a different GI etc. but that's about it. Bread is bread pretty much.

        • The wraps have more than twice the fat than the bread.

        • @Eeples:

          http://www.subway.com/Nutrition/Files/NutritionValues.pdf

          Wrap - Serving size: 103g. Calories 310. Calories per gram - 3
6 inch flatbread, white - Serving size 87g. Calories 220. Calories per gram - 2.52.

The wrap is denser. But the difference in calories is 15%. The wraps have more calories per serving compared to 6 inch bread. You're better off with the 6 inch instead of the wrap.

As for fat, you're right that the total fat is almost double in the wrap, but we're talking about an extra 3.5g - not really worth worrying about unless you're eating them for multiple meals every day.

Also note that carb converts to fat too.

          All things in moderation.

  • +1

If it's a meal for 2 and can eat the same thing, then can just buy a footlong and share under $10.

    • Depends on the sub.
Chicken terriyaki footlong is 10.25 in Perth, so I save 25 cents.

  • Anyone else notice they've dropped the "Eat Fresh" tag on all their ads now?

I reckon it's because more of the franchises are using more and more bread from the day before…. every time I go into a Subway these days it's no where near as good as it used to be. And certainly not as fresh as it used to be (hence the ad changes to avoid 'false advertising').

    • +4

Subway never really been fully fresh. They just stick parbaked dough in the oven.

    • because Jared

  • id rather buy a loaf of bread from woolies for 80cents and eat it rather than a subway sub.

    • +12

      Cool story bro

    • +1

      80cent "bread".

      • +1

Lol indeed when you toast the cheap bread it's like cardboard…. With the head wars these days, no point buy woolies or coles branded bread

  • how much is a 12 inch sub? just cut that in half?

    • 7.95 meatball sub 12inch. CMIIW

  • There not sub's they are WRAPS

  • I believe you can get a whole footlong for under 11.00?? not sure if this is a deal.

  • Just had two wraps then for breakfast. Definately not worth more than $5 each

    • +1

I steer clear of their breakfast wraps. I'm not even sure their eggs are even really eggs.

      • These were the lunch ones.. Tasted super processed and the salads all looked like they were on their way out

  • +1

Who's this 5UBW4Y you speak of??

  • buy two footlong subs and get the third foot free is a better deal for big eaters.

  • Ive always just asked them to cut a foot long in half, and they will wrap individually. Means you have to have the same type of roll howewever. Still prefer the $5 6" with drink.

    • They never cut it exactly in half so if sharing expect to fight over the biggest piece occasionally.

  • All the Subways near me are 5 bucks for a sub and a drink anyways so…

  • +3

Confirmed 6" subs included in the deal for WA…saw this poster at Subway, Milligan St, Perth.

  • Thanks Backspace!
Now I can finally indulge in the premium chicken footlong $10.95+ range

  • Thank OP, definitely Subway for lunch tomorrow!
