They should be like any other generic HDMI cable that goes for $5-10, so they should work well. In Dick Smiths case $30 ;)

Will it need to support HDMI 1.3a or above to get 1080p full hd from a PS3 to a LCD monitor(support HDCP)?
Or you just need a HDMI 1.3a cable and any HDMI to DVI adapter?In the item's description it says '5. Transfer Digital Audio & Video signals at warp speed of 5 Gigabytes per second ', I think HDMI 1.3 requires 10G, does this mean this adapter is not full HD capable?

it says 'Resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 ', so you can only get 1080i but not full HD.
