  • I purchase the forza 6 bundle via CR and only got back like $12.

I might need to email and see what % is for xbox consoles.

    • +1

Yeah pretty sure it's 4%, I'm sure someone will let us know on here soon enough :)

      • Yeah, i think the wrong % was applied.. i had it happen before with superdry and they corrected it once i emailed.

Purchased during the father's day promo for $479($549) but cashback was full price not including GST

        Retailer: Microsoft
        Date of Sale: 3/09/2015
        Sale Value: AUD 505.45
        Expected Cashback: AUD 12.13

    • When you arrive at the Microsoft store using the CR add on check the t's and c's as I'm guessing the current cash back rate on Xbox is 2%.

      • +3

Andrew here from Cashrewards, xbox cashback is currently 4%, ill have to check tomorrow if it includes GST or not as this is at Microsofts end however anyone not receiving the 4% please let us know and we'll also double check all the transactions this week to make sure everyone gets the right amount.

        • Emailed you yesterday about it. thanks.

  • +6

Wish they'd add the Halo 5 bundle to the deal. Waiting for that to drop.

  • Yeah, waiting for Halo 5 too.

  • +1

looks loke a good deal…. But i wonder when the deal from last novemeber will be beaten?

After selling off the extras, i ended up with xbone and controller for $170

This deal stacked with the $70 off for $500 spend promo through the Fathers Day sale when I ordered the GOW promo.

Got the above listed for GOW bundle, plus play and charge kit for $458.

It's a great deal IMO if you can lay hands on the stackers.

    • Can you link / explain this one please?

      • I realised after I'd posted this that the Father's Day promo looks as if it had actually finished yesterday, my apologies.

So looks like the cheapest with extras would be $499.

If you can still get access to that $70 off when you spend $500 or more then that's the way I'd go, but if not then please ignore my earlier post.

I don't know if I can edit my earlier post, if I can then I will do so.

I can go into more detail but didn't want to bother if that deal is no longer valid.

        • +2

No stress, glad you got one anyway

        • Yes the Father's Day promo ended on the 5th.

  • Last years November deal was way better. Hold off from buying if you can wait two months. Will be xmas/holiday bundles with new games soon

  • Thanks will hold off till Xmas. Haven't even played my xbox360 yet :-(

  • Would any retailer match this instore?

    • My understanding is that most retailers won't match the price of bundles.

EB Games once did but they've stopped now as policy I think, and other folk tried other retailers too but without success.

      However it's worth a try.

  • Note the 1TB one comes with extra stuff too http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/1TB-Xbox…

    • Dont understand why youd pay $50 extra for the 1TB. Just get a standard USB 3.0 1TB portable drive for Around $60 then you'll have 1.5TB storage.

      • +2

Probably just because it takes up extra room and with all the game installs nowdays you quickly hit that 500gb cap.

        • I think ur missing the point. For about $15 more than the 1TB version, you can have 1.5Tb storage.

        • @pointless comment:
Yeah, I got the point, but it's also going to be slower as it's connected via usb and it's also an additional thing you have to have sitting on top of your xbox.

        • @RI4V4N: i think usb 3.0 is actually faster than interal drive.

        • @pointless comment:

          USB is a conversion
The drive is still actually Internal

Its just has a computer processing chip to connect via USB3.0
as result the same internal drive will always be slower thanks to the processing

        • @carlb: external drives actually have faster load times…its all over the interweb, here is example

          http://kotaku.com/the-best-external-hard-drives-for-your-xbo…

        • @pointless comment:

Good to know, I think I'd still prefer not to have a usb brick on top of the xbox though, it gets hot and doesn't look that nice.

        • @RI4V4N: just shove it behind the xbone in your cabinet and forget it exists

        • @pointless comment:

Lol. It's hot back there. I think i'd rather get the 1TB and then buy some USB 3 thumbdrives if that gets full.

        • @RI4V4N: my cabinet is open so not really hot…but yeah each to their own, cheers buddy

      • Personally I'd tend to opt for the internal storage option rather than go down the external additional drive route, as silly as that might seem, which I'd have done if the FIFA bundle was not sold out.

But I can definitely see the appeal of the external drive alternative, just that as a voice of opinion I'd opt for the internal route.

        My 2c.

        • Each game is about 40gb install.

Most will run out fo space soon enough and have to hook up external hd

        • @pointless comment:
Depends if you keep a lot of games or get rid of old ones. I was having trouble with the 500gig but the 1tb probably wouldnt be an issue.
          It's really personal preference.

  • +1

ok deal, But I am still waiting for a great deal like this one

    • That would be weird if they did. Check the deal again.

    • Yes, this Xbox bundle is not a good deal because Microsoft doesn't sell PS4s at a good price… :\

    • JB HI-FI had ESO and Dishonored Definitive Edition for $469 on sale ending today!

  • Yeah the console deals in Australia are pathetic. There is no value in spending $500 without even a 1tb storage. Maybe they will sort themselves out by Christmas…

    • +3

With our dollar going down, probably not

    • +2

Honestly, these are pretty decent considering the heinous state of the dollar and the usual Australia tax.

They do get an Elite bundle with the fancy controller + hybrid drive that's kinda neat though.

      • Sadly the elite bundle with the pro controller and hybrid drive is 600 dollars and an EB exclusive. So it'll probably never be cheaper.

  • -2

Couldn't be too long until a Xbox One or PS4 hack is released. I know a lot of work is going into it.

  • Are they still selling white xbox ones?

  • Good student discounts also - but different bundles. Assume you can get cashback on top of those also.

  • Looks like CR has put xbox cashback for XBOX down to 2.40%

  • Yes you do get cash reward on student purchase. I ordered my self Forza 6 bundle cost was $494.10 received fathers day discount $70 purchased $10 Xbox gift card to make it $500 plus free express delivery another savings of $8 approx and lastly 4% cashback which I have to mail cash reward for getting right percent. So in total I ended up getting Forza bundle for $417 approx which is damn
bargain. So to get 4% cashback mail cash reward :)

  • I understand the Xbox One is region free with Xbox One games, but how about Xbox 360 games? Will Xbox 360 games be region locked still? I'm not in Australia atm, so I have the option of buying an Xbox One locally with local warranty, but if my library of PAL Xbox 360 games won't work, I'd have to buy an Aussie Xbox One, which would probably work out to be more expensive when including postage.
