I went into The Book Grocer at 452 Sydney Road, Brunswick, VIC this weekend and was sad to find that they're closing down. All books (including hardcovers) are on sale for $5. They do not have a date yet for the final day.

Sale $5/Book
How much are they normally ?
$10 normally
I think book grocer normally charge $10 per book. I think its old stock from closed down bookshops, pretty sure i Saw the remnants of a Borders price tag on a book I bought. They often have this book in stock: https://booko.com.au/9780297844976/The-Second-World-War
Great buy for $10. At $5 its worth buying a few copies to give away as presents.
They did similar when they closed down the one in the city. It was worth a look but I only bought a couple of books. I have turned into a bit of an Op Shop tart when buying books. Maybe stay away from a 2nd hand version of "50 Shades of Grey" :). Also it is worth going to your local library and seeing what they are getting rid of cheaply.
Books and Buffy; throw in a bar of chocolate and I'm yours.
The quote is so accurate. I have an iPad with a lot of eBooks, but I prefer a physical book.
My earliest memory is in Summer, lying on the cold linoleum whilst mum read Brer Rabbit to us.
What a shame…another ma & pa store gone forever.
Thanks. i'll pop by today.
