however, it's China Southern, and some people have had bad experiences. I flew with them from shanghai to tokyo and they were fine.
Honestly, especially considering the amount of flying, ~$50 to fly much better carriers is definitely worth it.

I used China Southern airline once few years back going to Guangzhou because it was the cheapest and what a horrible experience. The food, in flight entertainment is bare minimum in standard, seats are uncomfortable and the blanket was smelly but the worst was a 2 or 3 y.0 kid was allowed to travel with her grandma by sitting on her lap! Yes, she has NO seat on her own and you imagine with a flight over 9 hours, how unsettled she was and hence bad for us fellow passengers who sat next to them. Since then I am willing to pay a bit more and stick with a reputable airline so definitely no deal for me.

I flew China Southern, last October and had new planes, service was great, was even given better seats, because I'm tall :D I'd fly with them again. Great price to Paris, thanks OP!
