He may be trying to give you malware - he has already shown that he has little respect for personal details - he freely advises to give your bosses number to potential spammers and possible scammers!
cos its a company like Avon/Amway and they will be wanting lots of people selling multi level style marketing.
The area manager may even knock on your door to give you an opportunity to sell sell sell if you are lucky - just need to but the basic sellers kit… :)
