[Android] Aussie Tax Calculator Full $0.99 (Normally $2.99)

14

My app Aussie Tax Calculator Full is reduced from $2.99 to $0.99 (lowest I can select on developer console) until the end of August.

Of course feel free to use Aussie Tax Calculator Free which has all the same features as the full version, just with a small advert on each page.

Hopefully many of you are expecting a tax refund and can spend it on some deals on this site! More Eneloops anyone?!

If you want any extra features in the app let me know and I'll see what I can do! I'm trying to reclaim top position for Australian Tax Calculators and have done quite a bit of work to improve the design and features.

Description from the app store:
UPDATED FOR 2015-2016 TAX RATES including Budget Repair Levy
Added Employer Super Contributions and Medicare Levy Surcharge
Recently updated to Google's Material Design
Aussie Tax Calculator is a useful app for quickly estimating your income tax for the year, using the official Australian Tax Office rates. Using this handy app you can quickly see if you will be owing any tax or expecting a refund.

      does price include Hockey tax?

    • Not sure if you are joking but currently no, this is likely to change in the near future with the new 'Netflix' tax.

What is the point of this? Why does anyone need to buy an app when they can just use the ATO site for $0.00?

Maybe the point is the author gets to know your income details? (assuming network permissions)

I probably should have put reasons why you might want it, it can be informative to easily compare between previous tax years as well as other reasons. I will concede that the ATO has recently updated their website so it's much easier to find information than before, but if you want most of it in one place in a native app you've got other options.

If this is just a simple tax calculator ie. personal income only, then you're better off using ATO's one which is free.

Edit: pmupsinep had beaten me by 40 seconds.

I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to work out what this rubbish is. And it's supposed to be a bargain?? And looking at one of only 2 user reviews, the rates/levies are not accurate.

  • Budget Repair Levy

    Wtf is that?

    • It's a way of saying more tax without freaking people out, it's 2% extra on earnings over $180,000 so won't affect most people.

and those is should effect will find a way out of it.

    • Lisa: If I'm going to bail the country out, I'll have to raise taxes, but in my speech I'd like to avoid calling it a "painful emergency tax."

Milhouse: What about, "colossal salary grab."

Lisa: See, that has the same problem. We need to soften the blow.

Milhouse: Well, if you just want to out-and-out lie …Okay, we could call it a, "temporary refund adjustment."

      Lisa: I love it.

    That logo looks awful.

    • Haha I thought it was ok, however I'm more of a programmer than graphic designer…

Negging for cheaper elsewhere(ATO is free) and multiple user reviews about rates not being updated or inaccurate calculations which makes this app completely useless. Also if you want to know what refund you'll get, why not just fill in Etax ??? This is a serious waste of time.

  • ehhhh wtf is this? Bargain? nope

  • At least it's tax deductible…

  • What's the point of this? ATO provide everything you need. Not going to download even it's free.
