    BYTEARSE

    ^my^

    • +1

      last time was KingArse

    • I think Byte here is referring to the size (8 bits), but I might be wrong…

    • ^shiny^

        ^metal^

  • Nice one. Buy now, think later.

    great deal!

Just a question for everyone buying, what device are you using it on? Most smartphones seem to be shifting to non-expandable storage only.

I'm tempted to buy it, but I know that the Nexus 5 (2015) I'll be buying won't have a microsd card slot, so that's that. :(

    • +5

There are more devices than just smartphones that use MicroSD cards :)

I'll be using it in my Sansa Clip+ DAP.

      • Sansa Clip Zip repalced my ipod a long time ago. So much better, however just bought a 64gb Samsung evo in one of the last deals and runs slow on the player.

Also hate that it cant play .wav files.

        • +3

Why are you attempting to play .wav files anyway? Just convert them to FLAC and play those.

As an added bonus they'll take up less space too.

Alternatively you can install Rockbox which I'm sure supports both WAV and FLAC.

        • @vicerum: WAV is better for DJing + not all CDJ's support FLAC.

Will look into Rockbox, also looking at a Fiio X1

        • +1

          @Archaleas:
Should take a look at x3 instead. X3 imo is possibly 30% better than x1. X5 on the other hand is at least twice as good as x3. I've tested x1,x3,x5 and compared to my cowon j3. X3 was marginally better than my j3, x5 was heaps better.

        • +1

@lamerthanlam: Why do I feel so confused after reading that?

    • +1

I'm considering getting one for my NVIDIA Shield TV but it's probably overkill for my needs

Could also be handy for the newer dash cams that can accept larger memory cards

    • +1

still hope — hoping that Nexus 5 (2015) has sd card slot ..

      • +2

Nah mate. A few cases leaked, there doesn't seem to be any cutout for a microsd slot.

    • GoPro and DSLR using SD adapter

      • +4

GoPro yes but DSLR? Do your DSLR a favor and get a proper high speed SD card.

        • This is class 10. Does the adapter slow down transfer rates?

        • +2

I dont know why you recommended to get high speed card. these micro sd cards work without any problem and the speed is good enough for my usage.

        • @abacus: as far as I know they dont effect the speed. http://www.camerahacker.com/Digital/Inside_miniSD_Adapter.sh…

        • Agreed, I've got one of the 90~MB/s Sony cards and it is a heap better in my SLR than any regular Class 10 SD I have put in in an emergency.

        • @abacus:
          adaptor makes no difference.

      • I was thinking of getting one for my new GoPro (Hero4 Silver), but GoPro's website says they only take 64gb max?

    • +2

      Surface Pro 3 here.

    • I use G3 phone, V500 tablet (both have card slots), and X5 music player which comes with 2x card slots, so I need them plenty LOL

    • +2

using mine in a Galaxy S5….works like a champ!

    • @ raven2000
I hate how they are doing that too.

    • Got previous microSDs for my 3DSXL which I bought in the Target sale. Can never have too many g…save files cough

    • RPi2

    • +1

      Surface Pro 3

    • I had no use for the card, so had buy a MacBook Pro and nifty adapter so it did not just sit in my drawer :)

  • Just a question for everyone buying, what device are you using it on? Most smartphones seem to be shifting to non-expandable storage only.

I am using mine in my tablet.

  • +9

now im really annoyed I got ripped off by $4 for jumping on the last deal. :p

    great price!

I'm using mine in an LG G4. I feel sorry for all those who have phones without expandable storage :)

    • +2

Almost all of my apps refuse to move to SD or only move a tiny bit of data, I think maybe 8 of my apps in total can actually move to SD the rest are filling up my internal memory.

      • +1

I use it for music and videos. the G4 has 32gb internal memory which is more than enough for apps in my experience.

my last phone (xperia Z2) had 16gb built in and that was still enough for apps, so long as all media files (photos, music, video) were on the card.

        • +1

Yeah trouble I am finding at the moment is all the phones that suit are only 16gb internal, my current phone is 32gb but has over 15gb in apps so my search is still on lol Cheers

        • +1

sell me yer used z2 (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡 vs ლ(ಠ_ಠლ)

        • @Japius:
          Yeah same here.
Many phones over $300 have only 16gb, eg Z1 & Z3 compact, which I'm keen on, OR cost top dollar (eg Samsung s6/iphone6).

      • I felt the same until Sony updated my Xperia Z3 to 5.1.1, I don't know if it is the 5.1.1 or if Sony has made an improvement but apps finally move across!

    • +1

Was going to make a price protection claim on the good old 28 degrees card but realised it has to be at least $10 cheaper… Waiting on a deal where it's $68!!

      • cant wait for the day 128GB micro sd prices fall down to $60 !
Thanks for the deal TA.I brought one.Missed out on the last deal glad i waited for this one.

  • +1

Can anyone with one of these comment on the write (and read) speeds please.

  • +2

given the temperature at the moment, maybe the code should have been arsebyte.
    great deal tho.

  • Thanks OP. My toys are slowly growing more memory…

  • +1

Had to grab one at that price - will use in my FiiO X3(II) :)

  • Thanks! Bought one.

  • Anyone know if this will this work in a Lenovo K3 Note? I think it said 32GB maximum ? (although it will be quite funny that the storage cost will be greater than half the cost of the phone!)

  • +1

Nicely done, TA. 64gb from Shopping Square still hasn't arrived do I jumped on this.

It'd the size I truly wanted anyway. :D

  • +4

Geez, you guys have to stop doing deals like this, I still have the 128GB from last time unopened, as well as 2x 64GB cards unopened LOL

    • sell it on ebay for a profit ? before the value of micro sd cards go down to make room for higher capacity cards

  • Website is very not functional for me.. damn my IE at work…

    • +2

functional and IE does not go hand in hand.

      • +1

Probably why Win10 is removing it :)

  • +3

Honestly could go into business selling SD cards myself with the number of them that I have.

    • +2

Baarse could be the deal code, talk to TA

    • +3

Your review link is to an older, slower model.

      • Same model number though?

        • +1

No idea. The older model states 30Mb/s, new one 48Mb/s.

        • @tightarse: How long will this deal last?

        • nvm

  • -4

Micro S"T"D up yer tiny tight arse

    • c'mon,lighten up. it's obviously a jest
Let's update the eneloop joke, shall we?

  • +1

Didn't need it but couldn't resist :) thanks!

  • How does this compare to Kingston 128GB MicroSD from previous deal?

    • Samsung > Sandisk > Kingston

    • +3

Who cares, if you are a true OZBargain-ers, you would have jumped at both deals without any questions asked :)

      • I jumped at last deal and haven't opened it yet. I need a reason for buying another.

        • +6

Buy another one and you have two to open.

  • It mentions "dispatched immediately"… Is this the case for all your orders or just ozbargain ones? Still waiting on my 32gb Samsung microsd I ordered last night to be posted via express delivery. Hopefully its posted today, need it by Friday.

    • Hi krazed15,

Orders placed at night, we dispatch next day.
I believe your order will be dispatch today. Can you please PM me your order number, I will reconfirm it.

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • PM sent. Thank you for looking into it :)

  • I use these for my DSLR with SD Adapter.

  • Do people use their for their laptops?

  • T.A 2 TA (thanks again).

Surely we are all mSD'ed out by now?,lol

I would be interested in some SD cards deals, or even some Wifi SD cards like Eye-fi.
I had some higher capacity ones, but cant find them, for my camera.
Yes I know a adapter can be used instead, but some people may prefer not to.

Thanks to all posters AND stores for the great deals lately.

  • +1

Has anyone used this card on a Macbook air with the cheap sd adapters from eBay?

    • You would probably need a usb3.0 sd-card reader and they are not cheap or cheap as usb2.0 ones.

      • nvm

  • would this card have enough speed for 4k video recording using phone camera?

    • maybe

  • Thanks Mr Arse!
    This is an awesome deal!

  • How long will this deal last?

  • Just ordered mine, thank you! It's going straight into my ozbargained Acer windows tablet.. got to love it

  • Bought one thanks OP

  • +1

    T.A. ,

I'm not so impressed with your code this time. I wish that it should be starting with bite instead of byte, you know. Bitearse it is.

    Great deal, BTW.

  • Hi , Are there any micro sd card readers that support 128GB and up ? And where can i buy one ?
Using a 128GB EVO from a previous deal , it reads on my fone ok , as well as plugging it into the MicroSD to SD card adaptor.Gonna have 2 x 128GB micro sd cards soon and i wanna transfer files from my pc to the card (using a micro sd reader).
If I use my current micro usb reader with a 128GB card it wont read.Only reads 64GB and lower.

    thx !!

  • I need to see what my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 takes, definitely could use it between games, movies and books. It might be overkill for my phone tho, anyone know a good deal on maybe half the size? I spose it couldn't hurt hahaha

  • I know you are very popular in Ozbargain and this is the first time I have bought a bargain you posted here.

Thanks for this awesome deal, mate! :)

    Cheers!

  • :( just bought a 64gb from PCBYTE eBay store, wish i've could hold for another 5hours.

  • Next deal, airlines. Code? Flightarse!

Or maybe a deal on bleach? Hmm..

    Cheers!

    • +1

  • Tried to put it off but have decided to get one to use in a project and my old ipod classic

    Thanks TA and PCByte

  • @TA and PCByte.com.au

Would like to get another deal similar to this

  • PC Byte StoreRep: Is this deal also good for New Zealand customers? I tried to order one but there was no shipping cost available at checkout so couldn't proceed.
