          @bargainhunter: 1024x768 is all but useless for most video - don't buy it. Hi-Def should be 1280x720 (720p) or Full Hi-Def 1920x1080 (1080p or 1080i). 1024x768 is the wrong ratio.

    It's not a HD Plasma. It's a 1024x768 plasma… Yes, technically that may fit the definition of HD, but in reality, it's just not the right ratio for anything widescreen.

    Kind of like saying "everyone who says this car isn't a good deal…" to a rowboat…

    It's a good, big TV for that price, and I don't think anyone's refuting that. What others are stating is that it's a better idea to spend a few hundred more (or go for a slightly smaller screen). i.e. What's the point in getting "HD" when you're not really getting "HD" at all?

  For those interested, there are a plethora of these at every store. Smaller stores have somewhere between 80-100, with larger stores receiving upwards of 200.
