  • Would we get any prizes for guessing what type of product maybe under the Bargrin Christmas tree this week? PVR?

  • Can this model play video (Divx/Xvid) through the front USB port?

    • No it doesn't. That slot behind the right hand side cover is for some kind of payTV card.

  • Warning - Says it does HDMI output, but I don't see it on the back or in the manual. Can actually record two channels while playing back one recorded earlier.

    • Correct, this unit doesn't have HDMI.

Sorry about that, the listing has been updated.

  • This unit is about 2 or 3 years old. Quite lacking in features compared to the newers ones - it is quite cheap though

  • A good deal if you dont plan to go HiDef, would tide over most people for a couple of years.
There would be no point having HDMI as it is only an SD box, and picture would look pretty awful on most TV's with HDMI input.

A good entry level PVR with the basics, but nothing overwhelming in features.

Oldies might like this PVR, especially when they realise no ads, and no tapes!
