  • so there are 330ml cans as well, never knew that. Is that coke trying to be sneaky and giving less for the same normal price?

That's just what Kmart has sold for years.
I tried to get BigW to price match a few years ago & then pointed out that it's 330ml vs 375ml.

      • I will have to make sure I check carefully now. Thanks.

And then there's the 355ml or 12oz US can.
      And a 300ml bottle.

We live in an age of choice with no consequences.
No need for beverages to be made in containers that are +-10% difference from the next sized vessel

      • And 250ml cans and 300ml cans,
And the the gourmet glass bottle versions where you pay more than double because of the bottle.
        crazy.

      • Apparently there was a need because here we are discussing them …

33cl is Standard European size. I had never seen or heard of 375ml until I came to Australia.

PS: what's up with the random lack of standard unit sizes here? We have centimeter but not centilitre. Then there's the glaring hole between centimeter and meter where decimeter should go (and equivalent decilitre). Let's remove centimeters too and just measure everything in millimeters instead, like we do with volume, that will be convenient. Maybe we should standardise everything in nano units instead, just to be safe. //end rant

      • 375 is half of the standard 750ml. euro size is just strange.

check your expiry/best before dates on artificially sweetened soft drinks. Like old Chances episodes, they don't age well.

  • Sorry guys you're right, expired a few days ago.

    • Long as you use them up quickly you might still be okay.

  • Great for doing science

Thank you for contacting The Coca-Cola Company. We appreciate your interest in our brands.

The date on the packaging is the "Optimum Taste Date." This is the date by which we recommend you consume the beverage in order to enjoy the optimum taste. The complete date code is located on the bottom of cans and on the neck of bottles. Since there is nothing in our sparkling soft drink brands that should spoil, we expect that our soft drink brands are safe to consume beyond the date.

We hope this information is helpful. Should you have additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.

    • Even just before expiry, they start losing fizz. After expiry they get real flat and tasting poopy. Not worth it

      • Where is your evidence.

I have been drinking 7 month expired diet coke and 4 month expired Fanta for the past month and cant see any difference at all

        • evidence is the poopey taste in my mouth

just sharing my personal experience, probably has to do with how it's stored etc as well

        • Sometimes diet coke cans expand when they are well out of expiry (stored at office temperatures permanently).

What the hell is this obsession with wasting food about exactly?

For some reason tits are proclaiming that not wasting food means you are a morally better person. And then vaguely tying that to being green somehow so they can pretend that they didn't use the same resources as you when they buy the same item at the shop. As though feeling morally superior reversed the "enviromental damage" they imagine is occurring.

Any food provided for you is a blessing, if you don't even appreciate it enough to at least not waste it than yes your morals are questionable.

        • Now go eat that 7 day old roast chicken in your fridge! :)

        • @Lukian:

I make sure to finish it in 3 days! :D!

  • Not the cheapest ever but still a damn good price. If I lived in Richmond I'd be buying a couple of slabs.

  • It's kinda hard to see how the things are going to go off given that they're sealed in an oxygen and light free container …..

  • cheapest ever toilet cleaner. 7.920 liter for only $4 … :)

Cans might be ok out of date but i got a carton of buddy coke bottles once out of date and tasted yuck.

    • I had a few cans 3 months out of date once. They were nearly flat as a pancake. Fizz was goooooone. :(

I purchased a few bottles of Pepsi years ago that was a month past the expirey date and it was like acid, had a real strong bitter taste that you felt more then you tasted.

  • Has anyone been able to confirm if this is at other Kmarts, or just Richmond? Thanks.

    • Can OP post a photo of receipt, if the price is overridden (P1 next to price) then it's a store only deal. If it scans up as $4 it should be nationwide.

      • The receipt doesn't show P1, but apparently it scanned at $16 & the checkout chick canceled & manually entered another code to show up $4.

I've update the pic above to show more. I hope that helps.

  • dropped by this morning and all sold out yesterday..
