I'd never cashed out using Coles before attempting to do so earlier tonight but failing. Is it possible to cash out using EFTPOS there or do I still need to a savings or cheque account linked to my CC? I don't have any of these set up with my CC but had to choose one. So I couldn't cash out.

What the..you can only withdraw CC cash from a ATM.
And even then, WHY?!
Fees and interest galore! Not very OZB.OP needs cash.. interest is minimal..no fees.CBA
send me your credit card details and I'll send some cash to you.
Correct me if I am wrong
You can withdraw up to $400 per day via EFTPOS at Coles subject to them having enough cash (complain if they don't) or up to $100 using self checkout (which you can only do if you make a in-store purchase)
As for withdrawing cash from Credit Cards? Why? It should be your last resort.
The interest is high (well in all fairness not as high as instant payday loans) and is charged immediately (no interest free period). Advice - if you can purchase what you need using your credit card do that instead.
I am not sure about the limit at Coles but you don't need to make a purchase to do a cashout. Just ask the staff at the customer service desk and they will do it for you.
I once withdrew $1,200 in $200 lot ($0.50 profit each time from ING), until the staff raised suspicious, telling me I might empty their self checkout machine.
Why 50c profit from ing? Was this at the self service? At the selfservice, doesnt it make you buy an item to get cash out? I know at woolworths it lets you just get cash out though.
Cashing out? Sounds like you have a massive investment in Coles and want out.
It's the new concept store, aisle 13 is a row of pokies, OP was up big time but couldn't find the collect button, unfortunately like most people playing pokies he left empty handed.
You can go to any service station and ask for a "cash out" on your credit card. Most nice clerks will process this for you and it will be recorded as a purchase, so no cash advance fees or loss of interest fee periods. Be nice to the clerk and they'll hook you up.
Only if they want to throw the register balance correctly.
It will show $X in via credit while they give you $X out via cash, not to mention that they're losing money through transaction fees.
you cant get cash out on your credit card, only a linked saving account.
