Speaking to staff they expect to close Aug sometime.

everything being online is nice and all, but kids love to actually be inside a store and touch and try toys.
Guess Deers aren't interested in toys, they'd rather be at the Park.

BigW successfully killed off another competitor with their 'demolition' toy sale. Looks like Toy r Us will be next. Their Chatswood store was secretly closed down a few weeks ago.
It wasn't secret or couple of weeks ago. The writing was on the wall for ages and closed down back back in January….
From memory, their prices are usually 20-50% higher then Big W / Kmart etc.
Even Myer is doing 20% off toys and Lego more often than before. Everyone need to review their pricing if they want to survive and stay relevant.
The rent is the reason
I went there and they haven't mentioned its closing down sale. Its just 1/2 price sale. They have rather written that new stock arriving every day so keep telling your friends as well.
Asking the staff they said that most have already been told about new positions in other stores and will be closed in August
Went there to look for model kits, way too expensive. Even at half price I could buy them locally for the same or less. Asked if they would at least price match and they said no. So +1 for the OP but -100 for Toyworld Brimbank
