Non-ECC so the 8GB is not suitable for HP microservers.
Thanks, saved me checking, although I really don't need another 512GB SSD.
Just for anyone reading, the Microserver won't take the SODIMM. It will suit NUC's though.
MS Gen7 will support some DDR3 NON-ECC and most DDR3 ECC UNBUFFERED only.
MS Gen8 will only support DDR3 ECC UNBUFFERED.

$10.95 for Sydney metro. AusPost/Courier no insurance.
Damn, thought I was clever buying a 5th gen Celeron NUC last week for $180… :(
Did not want to make you more upset but I have to say that the 5th gen Celeron NUC (NUC5CPYH:N3050) is not available in Australian market atm. What you bought should either be the N2820 from intel or the J1900 from Gigabyte which are all 4th gen Celeron..
5th Celeron:

It's definitely the NUC5CPYH, it arrived back on Friday and is different to the N2920.. here is the shop link (though the price was lower last week!)

Oh well, the N3050 is perfectly fine as a portable HTPC, though I wouldn't have minded something I could put both an M2 SSD and a 2.5 HDD in at the same time.
Well good then. Yes the 5th gen is definitely a better buy considering it is even selling at the similar price to the 4th gen products.
The price you ordered is even cheaper than directly order from Amazon.
Nuc + Ram seems like a good deal.
Just bought the i3 NUC + RAM + keyboard. I have a 256GB SSD + screen lying around doing nothing so that was perfect :)
Just when my kids' computer blew up a few weeks ago and I was wondering what to buy!
I didn't buy myself but thought it was worth highlighting. Was easily $80-90 cheaper than Umart once you include the ram (which you have to buy for a Nuc anyway).
Glad you got one :)
Any good if I go for tiny pc+keyboard+keyboard?
Excellent timing! Was looking up NUC's and this was on my shopping list. Registered just to thank you..
RRP of the 8GB DDR3 is $312 :O
I'd price an 850 Pro at $359 value, but I'm not sure about an 840 Pro, being a different generation of drive.
Xperia Z - $199 (pre-owned) - $324.
The 8GB DDR SODIMM in the second category should be good if you have a HP microserver needing an upgrade (if it takes this stick) (value ~$49).
-or- the 'Elgato Avea Dynamic Mood Light Bulb' looks like a bit of fun and a nice way to wake up (value $15+).
Category 3: Network cables or surge protectors are never a bad choice. :)
